Very disappointed…don’t believe this to be OEM I purchased this on May 1, 2022, and only got 4 months out of it. When I closed the pool in September 2022, it was working fine. But, when I just recently opened up my pool for 2023, it wasn’t working properly. The casing is all intact and looks perfect, but water is just trickling out of the backup valve. I truly don’t believe this is an OEM Polaris Backup Valve, which is what I paid for.

Missing the internal gears The package was factory sealed from Polaris. However, the item consisted of only the shell, and the gear mechanism was not included.

Cheap Chinese knockoff. Definitely not genuine Polaris. Cheap Chinese knockoff for twice the knockoff price. Also came with cracks. That's great so you don't have to wait years for it to fail, it will fail for you right away.

Buyer beware. Ad is false. It is just the case, no mechanism Sucker born every minute and I'm one. The description is clear that the product is genuine Polaris and includes the "mechanism". All I got is the shell.

Part missing interior This part came in a sealed Polaris bag. The part didn’t work properly as the water flowed out of the valve constantly. After reading other reviews about this issue I realized it didn’t have the interior mechanism inside the valve. I received my refund quickly but won’t waste my time buying from here again. My pool store said they have never had that issue with their Polaris backup valves so I’m just buying from them and paying more. It avoiding bad merchandise.
