I have had this for 5 months now and I am deeply disappointed in the quality and reliability of this model. After 3 months I had to replace the gearbox assembly because the nylon gears were chewed up. How this happened I have no idea, It is now 6 months into service and again it goes around in circles and tangles up the feed line. I investigated and found that almost every one of the white nylon gears (and there are a lot of them) are chewed up. Apparently these materials cannot take the strain of force on them. My biggest issue is when the palm tree long pieces of "leaves" get stuck in the wheels. These are not exactly easy to get out.

Cleans more thoroughly than anything I’ve had before. But because it picks up so much, it really needs a larger storage bin. I’m really anticipating problems with the number of leaves I get in the Fall. Also, a rear axel broke during normal use leaving the wheel unattached. Thankfully, the thing still works on three wheels while I’m waiting for replacement parts.

The machine works fine but some of the parts look cheaply made and like they will wear out quickly. And, they are expensive to replace. I was also not impressed by the company's response to my concern over not receiving my $200 rebate. I only purchased the product because the competitor did not offer $300 in rebates. Polaris never sent my rebate because they said I didn't apply for it, which is totally untrue. Just love this new pool cleaner from Polaris. I’ve used the Polaris 380 for many, many years and this new model addresses all the drawbacks of other models. Doesn’t get stuck under my ladder, don’t need to replace nets, tails or end scrubber. It is very easy to empty and cleans my pool floor better than ever. I highly recommend this pool cleaner.
