I replaced my Hayward Viio and I am very pleased with the change I replaced my Hayward Viio and I am very pleased with the change. The Polaris does not tangle as easily as the Viio did and it cleans the debris from the pool very well.

love it, its my second one in 11 years love it , its my second one in 11 years . i rebuilt the other one twice and it lasted awhile . the 280 is a beast its simple does what its supposed to its easy to work on . great design

Takes the work out of owning a pool I did not buy mine on Amazon, I had it installed when my in-ground pool was put in in 2007. My pool was an average size 16 X 36. I never once in 9 years every brushed or vacuum my pool. Never ever, never. The hose and vacuum that came with my pool was never used. I had a wooded lot with pine trees and oaks. What the pool skimmers missed, the Polaris got. This took all the work out of owning a pool. Just add chemicals as needed and empty the bag on the Polaris and the skimmer baskets on the... read more

The product is great but after about 9 months The product is great but after about 9 months, the small drive cog had lost a screw and come loose. I had to buy a small assembly kit (more pieces than I needed for the part lost in my pool) but over all the Polaris works great.
