Does a Great Job This little guy makes pool maintenance a piece of cake. I just hope that the plastics are more durable than the older unit this is replacing.

Polaris 280 is a good buy This pool cleaner is doing a great job. I replaced a 7 year old different brand which was no longer doing much. When I checked on all the replacement parts to thoroughly refurbish my old pool cleaner, I was approaching to cost of a new one. The Polaris was competitively priced and I liked that Zodiac reps had posted responses on the reviews to work with the few people who were having trouble. Sweeper gets tangled up fast! Works OK but the piping seems to get tangled up all the time and then the sweeper squirts water all around the patio.

I've used Polaris Vac-Sweeps for over 20 years in our pool so I won't know if there is a better one out there--this was purchased to replace our old 280 which finally just wore itslef out. (Each has lasted about 8 years--you can rebuild them sometimes.) The instructions that came with this were a little hard to understand (graphics rather than detailed written instructions), but once I figured it out, it works great.

Does a great job (in the areas it actually covers) Somewhat of a challenge to get the cleaner to cover all areas of the pool - tends to get stuck in a pattern that repeats
