Noise level is beyond loud. Food was ok but not worth the price.
Had heard some good things about this restaurant and thought I would try it on my 28th wedding anniversary. Was very disappointed. Server was not very attentive and the steaks were over cooked. Ordered med rare (warm red center) and cooked medium and dry instead. Wouldn’t be a big deal if the filets were not $50+ each. The one bright spot was the dessert (the donuts might have been the best dessert I have had at a restaurant.) Birthday dinner with our friends. We tried Provision for the first time in Dec 2020 and it was really good. Sorry to say our experience in Dec 2021 was not a good experience, from a food perspective. My friend and I had the 12 oz NY Strip and it was ok at best. The steak was cooked properly, but there was very little seasoning or taste. Quite frankly, you can get a much better steak at Texas Roadhouse for a fraction of the price. My wife’s chicken was also bland and the cheesecake even sucked. We will not be back.
We sat near the kitchen and it was so smokey. Over the course of the evening it got worse and we had to leave. My throat was burning. The bread basket was just ok, normally I love it. My salmon was good as was our dessert. This was my 5th time and it was my least favorite experience.

Bill was $220 for 2 people sitting at the bar . It was my 50 th bday and they did nothing . Bartender put a guy next to us , his glass of wine on our check . The steak was over cooked and salty . The ribs were not good . A server or bartender should never add anything to your check with out asking you .
Had tasting menu with wine pairing. We have done many tasting menus in this and other cities; your portions were too small for the price paid! Quail was over cooked; we shared this information with waiter. Very poor value.
Very loud group seated next to us made it difficult to have a conversation.

Let me start by saying that in the past, Provision has been one of my favorite restaurants in Indy. However, we were extremely disappointed by our experience last night. When I made our reservation, I indicated that it was my husband’s 30th birthday. In the past when we’ve visited Provision for a special occasion, we’ve been shown the red carpet treatment. We’ve given this place 4 tries now and I’m always left disappointed. I’ve never found myself saying “That was a great meal” when we leave. We’ve also experienced issues every time we’ve been with either forgotten food, incorrect food, something cooked wrong, etc. I will credit the bar, there mixed drinks are on point and poured well, ALWAYS take care of your bartenders folks!!
