First time visitor. Thought the food was a bit pricey for what you got. The $10 piece of cheesecake was not worth it at all...bland, tasteless and small. The $48 special of a small NY strip steak, one scallop and 2 shrimp was not worth the money although the taste was very good. Have eaten at many other fine dining establishments that we like much more...probably won’t be back to this one
We love the restaurant and have been several times but in this occasion we were placed at the side of the bar, next to the toilets snd it just wasn’t pleasant! Too many staff around whilst we were eating but understand it as they were collecting drinks, service wear etc. Shame as restaurant wasn’t busy at 4.15. I am sure they could have seated us at a nicer table .
The corner where we were was very dimly lit and made it hard to see the food. Our steaks appeared to be ok but after cutting into them further, they were not done the way we wished.

I ordered the salmon on the recommendation of the waiter and I did not like it all. Everyone else really enjoyed their meal though and the appetizers were very good.
My wife and I had been there a little over a year ago while staying at the hotel and enjoyed it so much we wanted to take our kids as well. I ordered the snapper and it was very dry and the Brussel sprouts weren’t cooked all the way, my wife ordered a steak which was under cooked and the waiter had to be reminded multiple times about request for drink refills and sweeteners. It’s always been a great And consistent experience prior to this visit but the reservation (made a month ago)was pushed back an hour for outside seating. The reservation note said outside seating only. Then they kept bringing the wrong food out (apps and entree). My wife’s meal must have got lost and came out when I was nearly finished eating and they kept forgetting or not taking drink orders. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and were excited to try something new in Indy. The ambiance and food was spectacular. However the service left a lot to be desired. We felt rushed and the server did not engage us or demonstrate any real sense of hospitality. My hubby, who is a server at a 5 star restaurant calls the service that received as “order taking”. It put a damper on the evening.

Four of us had dinner on the patio and over all we were very disappointed. Since the restaurant opened back up in the spring we have enjoyed many wonderful meals on the patio. Sadly, for many reasons last nights meal was not one of them. We were a table of four mature(read old) people and it was very noticable to us that the table of young cuties got the priority service. Norma, I am very disappointed to hear how you and your guests were treated a couple nights ago. There is no excuse for poor and slow service and I blame myself for this along with the food not coming out hot. This is not what we want for anyone who visits Provision and it will not be tolerated.
