We have been to Provision several times and have always loved the food and the service has been great.......unfortunately this last trip was not as perfect. We were there with a one year old and mentioned to our waiter that we needed to eat quickly because of the baby. Well, our service was very slow once the restaurant filled up. food was great but no excuse for the delays.
It always amazes me how I can eat a meal, consume a bottle of wine, share a dessert and finish with a cup of coffee - while spending over $100 per person - and still exit the restaurant in less time than it takes to grab a bite at McDonalds. This place has a turn the table mentality. Although this company has many other restaurants that I enjoy, I highly doubt that I will return to this venue.
Not that impressed given the price. Seating was more cafeteria style however prices were premium steak house prices. Very noisy and could not hear. Had to wait for a table even with reservations.
Had to ask for water all the time. Scallops came out cold and steak wasn’t that warm. People in the open kitchen were yelling orders throughout the meal. Very loud and distracting. This was our second bad experience. Will not be returning.
Very, very loud. Have to yell to be heard across the table for two. The food was very good and our server excellent! The noise level will keep us away, though.
Stupidly overpriced, noisy....food was good, not great! Very noisy in bar area......not in a hurry to return....
Had a birthday dinner. My daughter ordered "the girl next door" cocktail. Way too tart! Barely drinkable. Service started off excellent, but by the time we were ready to pay, it was so busy, couldn't fine our server!
Don’t like servers using “we”, such as “how are we today” and “ are we ready to order.” “How are you”would be much better, much more accurate and it would sound less like a kindergarten teacher. The use of “we” ruins an otherwise nice evening.
I've rarely been made to feel less welcome in a restaurant. We were seated at an isolated table away from the main room, even though we had a reservation, and we showed up on time and there was plenty of room in the restaurant. It felt like we were in detention. When my steak arrived under cooked, the manager took it away but not without first informing me that I didn't understand what was a medium steak. We will not be rushing back.
