My Essential Helper Perhaps it says something about my personality - but I am a crazy label maker. My pantry, my garage, even my dresser drawers are properly labeled. For me, and all the other Type A's - this is an absolutely essential little machine. It works great (though I must say - every label maker I have ever used - including this one - is a little tough to navigate.) But overall, it is a great machine. You can buy a variety of tapes for every possible useage.
Great label maker This is a great little unit. It can run on batteries or an AC adapter (which is not included and the reason I deducted a star). It does so much more than I expected and is very easy to use. There's a great number of borders and symbols included; the font selection seems rather limited in comparison but is adequate. Crisp printing on smooth label. Label makers have come a long way! This product creates beautiful labels with crisp printing. The gold on black is beautiful, and seems like it will last a long time. The fonts are fun, and you can do things like having each letter inside a shape, such as a apple or car. The stickiness seems perfect, not too gummy, but enough to stay on. Not too shabby I've never seen a label maker with so many cool, built-in features. You can select from a bunch of really neat "frames" and select different fonts and font styles to make some really fun labels. I am attaching two photos with my first attempts. I'm not very patient with reading instructions ( my eyesight isn't great) but I was able to figure out how to make these two labels within 5 minutes of putting batteries in the unit. One of the worst things I've bought on Amazon For the thousands of dollars Amazon gets from our family every year, I've never written a bad review but his one deserves it! I'm completely confused as to why anyone would write a review greater than a 2. For all the new technology these days, Brother is way behind. Arrived dead on arrival. I could not return this because I missed the return date. I missed the return because I needed one right away and ordered a different label maker.
This is a cheap and very difficult to use label maker. Do not buy! NO BATTERIES work in this device so I had to buy a Electrical Cord separately. Then the sample taple got eaten up and the tape. It's the worst label maker ever! I have had 3.
Forget it! I owned a p touch for years and loved it. I gave it to the secretary of our church as she needed one. I bought this new style and find it very hard to use and can't figure it out. Instructions are just about useless. I am very underwhelmed with this one.
