No power cord included - extra $25. Who sells an electronic item with no power cord? This takes 6 AA’s or a power cord that’s sold separately. So consider if you planned on paying $35 or $60.
Incredible waste, half a product You waste 3 times as much as you use, with no possible way to adjust. It is also an electronic device with the power cord "sold separately"... um, excuse me??? Takes SIX batteries that give you about 2 hours of use; i have plenty of power cards of the right size/voltage, but if you don't buy the separate Brother brand power cord, it just powers on and tells you that you have the wrong adapter and won't do anything else. Absolute clown shoes, cannot advise strongly enough against this sham.
Printing Even at largest font size the printing is still very small. Not great for print something you want to see 6 feet away or at heights.
Apple would be proud of the sold separately power cord Most of the complaints here are fixable in the settings, wasted tape being the biggest/most common complaint. But it is absolute BS that this printer does not include a power cord, and that power cord is 50% of the cost of the printer itself. $40 label printer and $20 for a separate power supply. I presume profanity isn't allowed so I'll just say this Brother product can get forked and eat shirt.
Will not turn on Ordered this machine in January of 2022. However, I did not try to use it until return window had closed. The label maker will not turn on. I've tried 2 sets of new batteries with no luck. Purchased the plug in charger for it and it still will not turn on.
Arrived without power supply!!!! It arrived without power supply !!! That’s a first for me. This is not my first brother label printer, but it sure is the first one it doesn’t come with its own power supply cable.
Wasteful I agree totally with the waste of tape. No easy fix. I can’t recommend and wouldn’t buy again. You can find better, cheaper and easier to use products at your local office supply store.
Directions hard to follow. I have been able to print more than 5 labels correctly. When it worked the print quality was great.
Complex This device is not user-friendly. You have to read the instructions every time you want to use it unless all you ever print is the same label. Separating the tape from the backing is almost impossible. You have to feed the tape into a tiny slot that fights you all the way and if you are able to get it into the slot the odds of it working are 50-50. I am on my final roll of tape and when I am finished with this roll, I am trashing this device, it is that irritating.
