I love Dr. West! She is so attentive to my needs. I feel like she really listens to what I am saying and gives me a very specific answer. I feel like I can discuss anything I need to with her. She is kind, honest with me, and efficient and her exams. It is well worth my drive to Augdon to keep her as my physician.
Awful! Went in for swollen painful tonsils and pain in my ears. All she said to me was “your tonsils look nasty”. Um okay?? Swabbed me for strep and it was negative so she prescribed antibiotics for strep despite not having any of the normal strep symptoms besides the swollen/painful tonsils. I never got further testing or even a diagnosis. I can barely talk. I haven’t been able to eat or drink for 48 hours despite taking OTC pain meds, throat lozenges, etc. She offered zero solutions or advice.
Worst doctor I’ve ever visited and I have visited many. She was cold, indifferent, distracted, rushed...Never even looked at me in the eye. How this lady still has a job is beyond me...I only went in to see her because my sore throat was worrying me and my work schedule is tight. She ended the appointment by saying “you need a blood panel, you will get a call with the results in a couple hours” and then she ran out...I think she even tapped her foot while I explained my issue. Extremely rude.
Great doctor. Good listener! Always has time to hear and address my concerns!
I have Family members who have been clients with Dr. West for over a decade. She appears to be competent in handling a cold, but that would be the extent of the perceived professional expertise she possesses. In regards to preventative care there are many things, like age targeted vaccines overlooked and her coordination of integrated healthcare is almost nonexistent in our experience. She has little to no experience in addressing geriatric clients and their special unique Health care needs.
I would not even give her 1 star but it makes me select 1. Worst doctor I've ever been to, very very ignorant poor bedside manner, flat out rude. Stay away!

Dr. West wasn't very personable. I felt like I was bothering her by coming in because she was too busy for me.

Love dr west! Super personable and answers all my crazy questions. Her nurse is the best as well....even at throat cultures which I HATE. Even though I loathe going to the doctor, dr west and her staff make it a good experience and I feel like I get thorough treatment and diagnosis.
