They proved to be incompetent at every level. Were terrible at scheduling needed repairs, staff at RW were hostile and retaliatory, and would not respond to repeated phone calls. Failed to abide by the signed lease, and attempted to charge us rent even after we had moved out. Would give zero stars if possible - avoid them at all costs.
NEVER USE RENTERS WAREHOUSE NOVA/DC (RENTERS OR LANDLORDS) Near constant issues with very limited response from renters warehouse staff, specifically maintenance Mgmt Robin. Refrigerator was broken at move in, renters warehouse failed to check during move in inspection, which is a violation of DC rental code. AC didn't work and wasn't repaired for majority of the summer. Unfortunately we're in a RW rental home and our experience has been less than stellar so far. I could go into detail but here's the bottom line- I don't feel like they value their renters! Several times I've tried to contact them regarding an issue with the property and I get no response. Yes they have some sort of online portal but even that goes unanswered for 72+ hours. Landlord beware, this company is warehouse price for a reason. Going with this company has been the worse decision ever. They are irresponsible and do not perform what they promise.
They were horrible in responding all year, and did not help at all with the rats that were in the walls when we moved in. Even though it was a structural issue they refused to help. Do not recommend! Other problems occurred but this was the last straw.
If you are looking to rent your property, please don't sign with Renters Warehouse. I signed with them, and I didn't hear from the lease manager, so after two weeks, I sent an email to follow up with them, and she replied with a portal link to have an update on my property. She told me; they will post on Zillow and Trulia my property, but after a month, I realized that I was only on those free websites, so I canceled my agreement with them, and they ask me to pay $700 for cancelation. Genuinely terrible company to deal with, stay far away, its not worth the stress. On the list of things I had to deal with during my time as a tenant with Renters Warehouse: Apartment was dirty prior to signing lease, they assured me it'd be cleaned, it was not. Never again. Renter's warehouse was good for one thing: helping me find the home and helping the homeowner find a tenant. After that it is all downhill. Current issue: waiting for the deposit to be returned. The owner of the house I was renting spoke to renter's warehouse asking them to return my deposit and still no luck.
