The dealership sent me a text with no context asking me to approve charges of nearly 1,000. Later, it was revealed that because some people were having the diagnostic done but then not following through with services, Jeep had started making people essentially put down a deposit. A) this something about the cost or quality of their service b) other places will do a diagnostic for free c) it feels like it criminalizes paying customers. Everything was great! I would have liked to be able to speak to a mechanic that did the work on my rig but I know they are busy.
