Turns out Repipe Specialists is a national company that just does the marketing, bidding and payment processing. They subcontract the actual work to smaller local companies. So this review is only specific to that part of the process; to be clear, it negligent and unprofessional. I echo the other reviews that referred to Repipe Specialists as a high-pressure sales company as much as they are a plumbing company. Don't even think about calling them unless you 1) receive other bids first;2) can commit that day; and 3) and know exactly what you NEED so you can confidently tell them you don't need something they're pressuring you to buy (e.g., fixtures, water heaters, etc.). Overall I was pretty disappointed with Repipe Specialists. They have a good sales pitch, and the price was definitely lower than other quotes I got. But they're really nothing more than the sales pitch. Repipe Specialists simply took my deposit and then subcontracted the job out to a local plumbing company. Repipe Specialists didn't even schedule the appointment. They just sent an email saying call this number and schedule it yourself. For the most part, the job went well. The team is very efficient and the work is fine, but pretty rough... as you'd expect for a one-day repipe. the walls were patched and ready for prep and paint as promised. Unfortunately, the crew broke a window during the process. Doug promised to reimburse for the cost of repair. Couldn't find a contractor to replace such a small window, so I spent a half day doing it myself at a whopping cost of $33 in materials. Despite several calls and emails, no reimbursement. Certainly not what Doug sold me and sprung a leak besides. It was fixed the day I found it. Penny wise and pound foolish lesson for me.
I have had nothing but problems with this company. The estimator was good. BUT!!! When the crew showed up they did not do the work as agreed tried to bill me for extra work that was part of the contract. This Co. Does not do their own work they contract it out to others. I just tried to have warranty work done they tried to take advantage of my wife's lack of pluming to bill us. So in short find a company that will send the plumber that will do the estimate and the work.
