RecommendedDr. Lazarus and his team have been taking care of our Labradoodle for 13 years. They have offered consistently excellent experiences, with helpful, sincere, and educational Vet care. They truly care about our animals’ welfare. We particularly appreciate that Rippowam’s primary philosophy doesn't seem to be performing a “cashectomy” (procedure to remove all the cash from the customer’s wallet). We really respect Dr. Lazarus and his team’s levels of expertise and care. Highly recommended.
I have been using Rippowam for many years for my personal dogs as well as the dogs that come into my Rescue. The doctors are amazing the staff simply amazing. Dr. Lazarus has performed several ortho Surgeries on a few dogs who were injured and have wondered healing and are successfully adopted. Thank you for all your care .
Amazing vets that have worked miracles on my senior cat, Alice, when she was sick. I also boarded Alice there for a week, it is affordable and the care is phenomenal. Highly recommend their vet services and boarding services! The staff is very friendly and there’s overall a nice atmosphere when you walk into the clinic. 5 stars!
This hospital is by far the best in Stamford. Dr Schutts attention to detail and Dr. Lazarus care for the animals is amazing. We almost lost our dog and due to their quick thinking and their knowledge, she is with us today. We could not recommend this vet more. They are honest, caring and thorough . Just what you need when it comes to your Wiggle butts.

Dr. Lazarus is just absolutely the best Vet in Fairfield County. After jumping from Vet to Vet ($$$$) and tons of tests trying to figure out what was wrong with my dog, Mango (Lyme? Cancer? etc?), the first time Dr. Lazarus saw him he rubbed his hands on Mango's fur, and told me. "His fur is not soft enough for a Brittany, this is a most probably a Thyroid problem". 1st round of tests confirmed it, and Mango's life changed.
Dr. Lazarus and Dr. Meehan are the best as is the whole staff. Been going to them since 1986. Would not go anywhere else!
Dr Kathleen Meenan and Dr Lazarus are the best. Very kind and excellent diagnostic skills. Front desk very helpful.
All the vets and staff are wonderful. Dr Lazarus is an excellent surgeon. They really care.
