We went to this Animal Hospital as it came highly recommend. I liked that the staff and doctor were nice and answered all questions. I hope to interact with them more for my dogs vaccines etc.
Being fairly new to CT, we had no clue which vet would be best for our 3 cats - we are so thankful we chose Rippowam Animal Hospital! The staff is so incredibly kind and professional and very clearly put your pets first! Our cats hadn't seen a vet in a couple years, but the staff got them all caught up on vaccinations with no judgement whatsoever. I am so happy with the service we received and with the way our pets were treated - such an excellent experience!
I highly recommend Rippowam Animal Hospital! We've been taking our dog there since he was a puppy and they're always thorough, warm and friendly with him...very happy we chose Rippowam!
Dr. Lazarus and his team were amazing with my 10 year old Westie who I brought in for a full baseline after I was tired of my other vet spending more time talking about other things rather than my dog. Dr. Lazarus did a full work-up and put together a plan for food, supplements, preventive care, activity, etc. for my dog. He shared the health risks of the breed and the latest research to prevent cancer and other health issues. Left there feeling I had done the very best for my dog and so very happy with this new team.
I moved to Westchester from the City last year and started bringing my two dogs here for checkups & treatment. Dr. Lazarus is by far the most thorough, kind, skilled vet I have seen in my dog's ten years. I cannot recommend the entire practice enough! It is more than worth the 25 minute drive from our house.
I have been coming here for probably 10 years now with my cats, after I saw something concerning at the previous vet's office. I've been so happy here. The doctors and staff are all compassionate, knowledgeable, and understanding. They take time to explain everything and help me make the best choices for my pets. When emergencies have happened, they make adjustments so I can come in right away. Their pricing is very reasonable and I am often surprised that they do not charge more since they are right in the middle of Stamfor... read more
Rippowam and Dr. Shutts are absolutely amazing. First off last year my dog Carmine was having a paw problem and I had to bring him to Cornell. A few days later I followed up with Dr. Shutts where I first met him. In addition to taking a look at his paw and also noticing a small ear irritation, Dr. Shutts was able to inform me my dog was not the age I was told when I rescued him from the shelter. When I rescued him in 2013/2014 I was told he was around 3 or 4. However when Dr. Shutts examined him based off his teeth and ho... read more
Rippowam and Dr. Shutts are amazing! Our dog gets into a good amount of trouble and they have been responsive and terrific every time we've needed them. It's also the only place our dog has ever let anyone trim his nails! We moved about 20 miles away recently but still decided to keep Rippowam as our regular vet. Highly recommend.
Compassionate, highly skilled surgeons and fair prices. They do a ton of free work for non profit animal rescues.
