The restaurant was very noisy as a large table of 16 was living it up. I had asked for a more romantic table for our 50 anniversary and we were given a table next to the gangway into the kitchen. I asked to be moved and they put us in the gangway to the bathroom, very romantic, ugh. The food was average at way above average prices. This is the original Bartolotta Restaurant that started it all. If you have been to Italy, this place is just like eating there. Small, quaint, professional staff and excellent food. Homemade pastas, fresh fish and steaks all very good. I highly recommend this restaurant. Parking is an issue because of the neighborhood in downtown Wauwatosa.
The food was absolutely delicious. The staff at the bar (where we ended up eating) was very good as well. Atmosphere could be more relaxed, but that could be the clientele.
Servers were very nice but extremely slow with long waits in between acknowledging us to end of meal. Very unusual for the restaurant but we are uncertain if we will return.
A wonderful experience start to finish! Looking forward to our next visit!
One of our favorite places! The food was divine and was presented very well. The original bottle of wine I ordered ended up not being available, but the recommendation on a different bottle was spot on! It made for a lovely evening out with friends!
We love Ristorante Bartolotta. The food is always something special. It gets a little loud at times but I highly recommend it.
