Very nice restaurant, tastefully decorated in old world charm. The seating was a little tight, but pleasantly quiet enough to have an intimate conversation. We could not have had better service, everyone was super attentive and extremely polite. We had a shockingly bad experience more than a decade ago and held a grudge until last fall. We took it as an opportunity to dine at other great Milwaukee area restaurants. Glad we got over our our bad experience as the two times dining here since doing so have both been delicious. The service is as we had expected and been accustomed to at this restaurant. Fantastic food! The service was perfect—helpful, polite, but not hovering! The space was a little tight, but not too bad!
Finally- we have eaten here! For Valentine's Day, my husband and I enjoyed Italian sodas, the green salad (really terrific), brown butter ravioli, duck ragu tagliatelle, filet and tiramisu! All the food was delicious and the wait staff was appropriately attentive. The only thing that I did not love was how close the 2 top tables are and it can be challenging to not hear other's conversations if you have a loud talker next to you. We will be back!!
Valentine’s Day of course super noisy and crowded, food was small portions, but service was AMAZING, such friendly and fast staff with beautiful surroundings. Would recommend. Great environment.
Went for Valentine's day with my 10 year old daughter. Service was outstanding. Very accommodating to my daughter as well and did not feel out of place there. Food was outstanding as usual.

Every meal we have at Bartolotts is just amazing! We love going to the restaurant for all the reasons people fine out - the service is excellent, friendly waitresses, knowledgeably bartenders/wine stewards, the food impeccable - especially because it was the season for black truffles which really finished the dishes we ate wonderfully.
