The pasta dishes were very good but a bit pricey. It was white truffle season. Both diners added a portion, increasing the price further. While it added something to the pasta with porcini mushroom sauce, the subtle flavor was lost in the duck ragu in spite of the fact that it was listed as truffle compatible dish. The tables are close and it got quite noisy despite the early hour at which we dined. Not sure it would be a good choice for a first date.
This is one of our favorite restaurants and we usually go at least once a month. The food is always good, but we are seeing changes in quantity and style of presentation. Smaller portions that are presented in a new manner. I miss the butter with the salt, our favorite server and pasta plated (instead of bowled). I'm a believer though in this great neighborhood restaurant and will continue to come back.
Great atmosphere, great food, hosts and bartender super friendly and welcoming. Servers were a little snooty and condescending...seafood grill was a bit skimpy..,but still an awesome experience. We’ll be back!

Really great food here, with service that was a bit awkward as I was a solo diner. Overall the best meal I have had in the Milwaukee area.

Great food, service, recommendations. They were glad to split plates. We had to wait for our table (previous group sat for 3 hours) but offered free appetizers and a great location to make up for it. Always a pleasure to go to B's.
Every Bartolatta restaurant has wait staff that go well beyond the ordinary in customizing service, and this time was no exception. We had a great waitress who was helpful without being intrusive and accommodated my change of entree gracefully. The only disappointment was that our table was crowded in, next to another. The couple who were given the table next to ours asked to be seated elsewhere and were moved because it wasn't so crowded that there were no options.
