Great place
A quiet night made for even a better than normal dinner. The chef's menu was superb: Porcini mushroom soup had great, not over the top, mushroom flavor. Spinach, ricotta ravioli with rabbit ragu in a light tomato sauce was amazing. I asked that the venison loin be cooked between medium rare and medium, a very tight window, but it was and delicious. Great wine list, good, service.
Service had a bit of attention deficit disorder. One dish, pasta, came out luke warm and with little egg plant. Sent it back. Long intervals between being "checked in" on. At the end of the meal, the servers accommodated us with our bill and dessert. That being said, I would have rather had a great service experience and food and paid full price.
We had a shockingly bad experience more than a decade ago and held a grudge until last fall. We took it as an opportunity to dine at other great Milwaukee area restaurants. Glad we got over our our bad experience as the two times dining here since doing so have both been delicious. The service is as we had expected and been accustomed to at this restaurant. Now if I’d only allow myself to order an entree other than the duck ragu...
A wonderful time. Great service. Terrific cocktails and delicious food. A perfect delayed Valentine celebration! Highly recommend for a wonderful meal on any occasion.
My wife found the new chairs a bit awkward to sit in. The food and service were excellent as usual.
Very nice restaurant, tastefully decorated in old world charm. The seating was a little tight, but pleasantly quiet enough to have an intimate conversation. We could not have had better service, everyone was super attentive and extremely polite. We ordered the Menu de Chef along with the wine pairing for each course and were extremely pleased with food and the wine selection.
