The groups are super interesting and have relevant topics to educate me on the nature of my disease. I didnt understand how shame played such a big part in my sickness before taking Amy's class. She lays out the information in a way that makes you realize and relate to what shes saying. I know I can always talk to her about anything even though shes not my main therapist. Horrible experience. Don't go here or send your loved ones here if you are serious about recovery. I was offered drugs on campus - 1/2 of my valued belongings were not returned - unprofessional staff, management, and facilities. During their educational classes 90% of clients had their cell phones out with volume on. All together a nightmare of an experience that I couldn't wait to distance myself from.
DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! Our 21 year old son died in their ‘care’.

Most of the staff at River Oaks is cool as shit. I appreciate Eldred because he is helpful and caring. He goes out of his way to make sure the stuff I need gets done. He will stop and talk with me and always knows my name. Everyone treats me like a person and not just a number like some of the other places Ive been. Would def recommend to anyone who needs help with treating their addiction.
My Therapist Karah is a straight up bad ass. She is always direct and solution oriented. She will help you find the answer for yourself and she does not take any bullshit. I love how enthusiastic she is about helping others and I have so much respect for her as a counselor.

This facility is a complete JOKE and should be SHUT DOWN. They allow patients to leave and steal alcohol from neighboring businesses. There is no supervision of their patients. People sneak in alcohol and drink without getting caught. How is this possible?! They don’t even realize that patients are walking around DRUNK.
