Do not use this veterinary hospital. We were given an amount over the phone and drove an hour and a half out of our way to come to them because they claimed the cost would be less than my regular vet. After the fact they charged us 50% more than what was told to us over the phone. We were charged an emergency fee despite it being on a normal business day during normal business hours and they squeezed us in to fit their schedules and we waited for 6 hours. Terrible terrible experience. I clarified the cost before I came, sat ... read more

This hospital is great and I have been going here for several years now. I recently had to change vets because I can never seem to get an appointment these days. I am on hold forever and usually just end up handing up. I attempted to make an appointment this past Monday because I believe my dog may need surgery and unfortunately my vet is not a surgeon. I was on the phone for over 12 minutes and had to hang up. My daughter attempted later that evening and was on hold for over 20 minutes and then the call was dropped. I... read more

I unfortunately had to bring my dog here to be euthanized. It was a decision that took over a year of thought to put down a dog who had been a beloved family member. Our dog had turned aggressive with my small children and other family members. He would aggressively bite without notice after petting him, running past him, or trying to get him in his crate. I knew I couldn't re-home him out of fear that he would hurt someone else's child or worse. It was such a hard decision to make and Dr. Lane made it even worse. She told ... read more

Always! I have been going there since the late 1980's and Dr Morley was living next door. They treat the animals like their own, and I would never trust the well being of my pet to anyone else.

I have been with Rocky Gorge since my dog was a puppy. I went on vacation and decided to board my dog with the resort portion of the hospital. When I first called the resort I definitely had questions surrounding how they would care for my dog. I asked what he would be doing while he was there, would he play with other dogs, and what would they have for him? I was told that he would be in a room for him that has a camera, he would play with other dogs if he is there during their doggy daycare times, that he would receive thr... read more

We took our dog here after having it recommended multiple times. I’ve never been to a veterinarian that as soon as they find out something they don’t agree with (raw food, natural treatments, delayed neutering, etc) they talk down to and treat you like an idiot. We initially started the paperwork to enroll in their wellness plan. Before leaving our appointment we cancelled it. We won’t be returning. Did we get some good information, yes, but the overall judgment and belittlement is enough to keep us away.

I liked the first visit. However, I was not happy with subsequent visits. I had to take my dog to another vet as after two other visits my dog was getting sicker. I had requested a call back and I did receive a call back, but I had asked to specifically speak to a certain vet which I was told was working, and she would call back, but this didn’t happen. I felt that medications that should have been prescribed for her were not and considering my dog had a raging infection, a CBC was never ordered. I just found it ironi... read more
