Real “compassionate” care. I would avoid this place if it’s acceptable policy to make jokes about animal abuse like Akina . Feel sorry for the animals in Maryland.

I waited for 3 hours to be seen. I did come in as an emergency but still. The appointment only took 15 minutes and the medication is very expensive. 85.00 for one, 65.00, 65.00 for the third! Wow! I tried to get his rabies shot while I was there but they said, no. This is emergency appointment... you need to come back for a check up and make an appointment for the shots. It’s all about the money not the health of your furry kids.

Rocky Gorge isn’t even my vet. My mom brings her dog here. She made an appointment to have a drain tube removed at 4. I came along to help. We waited in the waiting area for over 30 minutes only to be moved to the exam room for over another 30 minutes. No one checked on us or apologized for the wait. If you know you have such a huge clientele, why do you not have the adequate staffing? Thank god I do not bring my pets here. This is completely unacceptable and poor customer service....and for making animals that already hate ... read more

rude ~ I know why they are animal dr.s, 'cuz they have no bed side manor or communication skills. I am not impressed, cat was brought there as emergency, but the after care seems like pulling teeth. Really, to talk to a patient and say, "Like I said before", when the concerned client is trying to ask questions. I recommend communication classes on how to speak to humans. and answer your phones

We brought our elderly Russian Blue in to be put to sleep last night as we could not stand to watch her suffer any longer, My girlfriend has had many cats and suspected our little girl had cancer and thought it was time. We get there at 720 pm. We were seen by a "relief vet named Dr Ellis who tried to force us to get expensive bloodwork on a dying cat before she would put her down , we went round and round and were accused of wanting to do an economic euthanasia. I always had a very good experience at Rocky Gorge and had been taking my dog there for at least 6 years. He needed emergency surgery recently, and while he received excellent care during the surgery which I am appreciative- the aftermath has been extremely frustrating. A mass was removed from my dog, which was supposed to be sent out for testing to see if it was cancerous or not. This never happened. I have not been provided a reason that this was not done and as a result, we are left with extreme uncertainty around our do... read more

My family has been in coming here for several years, but this last visit has been the absolute worst in my entire experience. My dog came in for a dental cleaning yesterday, and not only did they extract 7 of his teeth (even after we signed the form asking them NOT to extract any), but they also cut his nails AGAIN after we went to the resort downstairs two weeks PRIOR to this.
