Definitely better communication or a backup for loan officer. It seems person was out sick for a majority, but asked me not to work with the original loan officer Yuri who did a outstanding job very responsive and communicative.
Our experience with PennyMac was great! We had used a large local bank in the past for a couple of houses and one refinance and were shuffled around, forgotten about, and asked to submit the same documents over and over again. Just for the refinance alone it took almost 4 months with the local bank. Nothing got done unless I called and bugged them about it. My experience with Cynthia Perez was terrific but when it was turned over to Rosario if all fell apart. Communication was not good. Emails went unanswered, the documents were wrong more than once and basic questions went unanswered. I finally figured it out myself but basically , Rosario was not good
I was told to change my flood insurance five days before closing and had to reach out multiple times the person who worked on my file my warr was replaced with rosario towards the end my closing cost were not accurate because the law firm messed up my interest rate was high taking a higher rate of interest to achieve a lower closing cost seemed unethical
Deadlines were not met. Documents were repeatedly asked for. Inaccurate information. My team made this a very stressful experience. Had I not been on a time crunch I would have gone elsewhere.

From the start of the process to end there were too many issues and not enough communication. It was so hard to get accurate and consistent information. Allan the initial rep we worked with and across too push and like a used car sales men. The experience was a little better with Rosario however it was difficult to get a hold of her.

The entire buying process was efficient and simple. Such a great loan team. I've recommended this company to several people including a few realtors.
