My nan is 87-years-old and had been living at her address for 41 years. Unfortunately, early-stage dementia had struck and we were considering the next stages of her life in terms of care. Mum has been a resident at Rose Lodge for about a month after transferring from another home within the same group. She is a care home resident after suffering a stroke in January. I can’t compliment the staff and management highly enough. It is difficult to believe that the previous home is even part of the same group. Rose Lodge has a wonderful atmosphere and ‘buzz’ about it. The best way I can sum up my thoughts about Rose Lodge Care Home is to quite simply say that my resident mother (93 years old) absolutely loves where she is and effectively looks upon all of the staff from the managers down as a surrogate family. They are simply the reason why she maintains for the most part a happy mental and psychological state and view of the last years of her life. Rose Lodge is truly excellent. My father spent his final year there and now my mother-in-law is a resident. One could not possibly hope for better care. The interior is beautifully furnished (very important for mother-in-law, who gets very difficult if not somewhere stylish), the rooms are good, and the staff are very patient indeed (they've needed to be for both of my relatives).

The care home has a hotel feel to it, with pleasant living spaces and very good food. Activities seem to be a bit hit and miss but when they happen are very good. In the main, the staff seem to be attentive and caring. Given the pandemic, and the extra pressure on staff as a result it feels almost churlish to make any negative comments, however, the care provided here comes at a price, and there is definitely room for improvement in some areas. The care my mother in law received from her first day has been 100%, it took a while for her to settle, but all the staff have been compassionate, treat her with care and respect. I couldn't have been more satisfied to know she is well looked after and safe. And happy. Thank you to you all.

Lovely, warm, welcome, support and assistance from wonderful staff. I am completely confident that Mum is in the best possible place for her, and we can never thank staff enough for everything they do. Awesome.

Cannot thank the care home staff at Rose Lodge enough. Mum entered the care home mid-December on respite care, due to a sudden decline in mental and physical health. The change in her is fantastic. Having safe and secure surroundings, health-focused food that is of a high standard, attentive care with a strong focus on wellbeing has certainly made a difference. Happy to recommend as a care facility you can trust.

Rose Lodge has really helped our family feel settled at the fact Grandad is so well looked after. From being constantly worried about his mental and physical health of being alone for the last 10 months, having him stay here at Rose Lodge is the biggest blessing to us. The care provided to him is more than we could have wished for. The manager was so supportive and helpful when it came to Grandad moving in, he is so happy here and we are all so happy he is here!
