Couldn’t recommend Rose Lodge enough, our grandad was extremely well looked after here. We are all very grateful to the amazing staff who work so hard to ensure he was comfortable and happy at all times.

The care provided by all at Rose Lodge was outstanding. They were consistently kind and caring and provided a safe and secure home for my mother for a year and a half. At the end of her life, they treated her with dignity and kindness. Their kindness extended to the rest of the family and in particular, to my father.

My mother passed away after 18 months in Rose Lodge. She had Alzheimer's. From the day she moved in, to the day she passed away, the manager and each and every member of staff have shown love, care, respect and humour to Mum. They also offered these, along with friendship and support, to my visiting father, who joined Mum at Rose Lodge regularly for lunch and to me and my sisters. It is a really lovely place, a real community and a real home.

The idea of a care home can be anathema to family members. And there are plenty of examples to cause unease. Rose Lodge dispels those fears. The environment is cleanly ordered, well planned and furnished to make it feel like a cross between a home and a boutique hotel. But the approach of staff is what makes it exemplary. It is extremely difficult for a family to make a decision that a loved one requires more help than you are able to provide and very daunting trying to pick the best place for them to spend the rest of their time. This is the care home I dreamed of finding for my mum but didn’t think existed. If you would like your treasured relative to be cared for with love, respect, consideration and compassion with full attention to their medical/ personal/ welfare/ emotional needs etc by the most amazingly dedicated staff (who also treat relatives of residents with the same love and compassion) then this is the place for you. Cannot begin to express my appreciation to these wonderful people.

Visiting a close friend resident, some three to four years ago, in Rose Lodge I was always impressed by the relaxed friendly environment, pleasing buildings enhanced by attractive planting around the paved terrace. Nothing institutional! My friend always said how kind the carers and helpers were and particularly as his condition deteriorated, he emphasised that he would not want to be moved elsewhere. My mum is 99 years old and needed more care than I could sustain so to Rose Lodge. Wonderful managers and all nurses and HCA's exceptional. The ladies and gentlemen re food are so understanding as are all other staff who are wonderful. I am so grateful that my mum is safe in Rose Lodge.

Since my mother's accident and subsequent move into Rose Lodge, her health and wellbeing have increased tremendously. The management and staff are extremely professional and caring to all the residents. Taking residents out for activities as well as activities in the home, in my opinion, are an invaluable way in which to keep their minds and bodies active. In summary, I am extremely impressed with the home and staff.
