Great restaurant great food great service exceeded expectations will eat here every time I'm in Reno area
Just great except for our seating was terrible. I made reservations two or three days in advance and still got the worst table. I had asked for a booth in a dimly part of the restaurant and got right by the kitchen in one of those side tables where you have people right next to you, it was terrible and took away from our dining experience greatly, and no one came to tell us our table was ready and to take our drinks to the table, it was as if we just came in off the street with no reservations and they just gave us the worst... read more
I had the roast duck, it was well prepared, portion was more than ample. I liked the sides that came with the meal. My wife had the Dover Sole, and again the presentation and sides were outstanding. Our service was, as always, excellent.
Excellent food, but the music from the bar was too loud.
Prefer to be Inside the main restaurant, we were out more toward the new Sushi bar. Food is great. Service top shelf.

On this particular dining experience, service wasn't great at all. The filet mignon was well done and not medium (what was ordered). The server did offer to replace and make it right but we politely declined, we waited for a long time already. The pan seared scallops dish was excellent. They did comp our dessert but we had to wait long for it as well. I was impressed with the Roxy. The goose was prepared to perfection. The waiter suggested a great glass of wine for my meal. The interior is very classy and elegant. Even though it is located in a noisy casino, you couldn't hear a peep once seated. Great plate for a first date. Can't wait to go back to try the paella.
We've lived in Reno for 10 years and this was our first experience at Roxy's. No idea why it took us so long to try it, as this is far and away the best restaurant in the Reno/Tahoe area. We will return for every special occasion from now on.
