This restaurant has wonderful food and decor and terrible service. The table service we received from our waiter was very poor. We felt neglected and unappreciated as diners. Our waiter failed to bring items that we had ordered. The ultimate disappointment was when the waiter brought our check without offering to take our dessert order. Our check had to be re-written to reflect the missing missing items and to have dessert added.
For those looking forward to the mouthwatering goat cheese salad, the juicy pork loin chop, or any menu favorite of old, stay home. The menu changes have changed what was so great about Bistro Roxy. The only familiar item was the still great martini.
Ordered steak with sauce on side didn't get it, waiter apologized and offered to return but I didn't want to wait additional time; seemed long wait between appetizer and main course; food was salty ( steak and shrimp dishes), for price I expected better quality food and a little better service, will go to Romanzas next time.
When we arrived, we were seated in a quiet section of the restaurant. Just as we started receiving our food, a group of 20 loud and obnoxious men were seated very near us. They exhibited no regard for any of the other diners, yelling back forth between each other with a lot of profanity mixed in. The service was very poor. Very slow. We waited for or dessert for 30 minutes! Food was OK nothing special. Steak was good but all our side dishes were not very good. I was the with 4 other people and they all felt the same way.
Food was very average but what was most lacking was the service. Just didn't feel like the servers were very attentive at all. Not impressed with the overall experienced and most likely would not patronize again.
This was my second visit to this restaurant. On both occasions, a signature item that was on the menu was not available to order. In the first case, it was a main course. In the second case it was an appetizer. In both instances, the item that turned out to be not available was why I made a reservation at this restaurant. The menu at first glance sounded absolutely amazing. So amazing in fact that we all (all 7 of us) actually had a difficult time choosing so we all picked something different so we could share. The food was either over salted (almost everything was), over cooked or under seasoned. It was really bad. I will say however, we ordered desert and it was delicious. We went on Valentine's day. We got there 15 minutes early and were told to come back at our reservation time (6:15pm). We went to the bar area and were quite pleased with service and the drinks. We went back at 6:15 and were seated in a booth, after refusing a center table. I had asked for a quiet table when I made the reservation a month earlier.
