Billed 6 months after I cancelled service, immediately applied to my credit report. Had to pay $100 to have them remove. I thought extortion was illegal.

I've had a horrible experience with Rumpke and it doesn't seem to end. After they've neglected to pick up my trash about a half dozen or more times in the last year I finally terminated the service. Now they're holding a credit of mine and won't release it until the garbage cans have been reclaimed. No different than the trash service, they aren't picking up the cans as scheduled. What can I do at this point? Stay away from this company they are horrendous.

Horrible Service. Did one billing cycle with them. 7 times they missed my trash and I had to call in to have it picked up. I would watch them stop at the 2 houses prior to mine and get the trash. It was still dark. Their headlights lighting up the big ol Rumpke can at the end of my drive and they would still drive on past. The supervisor assured me at time #5 it would not happen again. The worst trash pick-up service ever. For 3 of the last 7 weeks, the trash has not been picked up from my house. This includes Oct. 24th and Oct 31st. During trash pickup on Thursday, Nov 7th I actually stood outside and gave the trash man $20 to pick up my trash (we are under contract with the city of *******). DON’T USE THEM! They recently bought out our local waste disposal company and picked up last week just like the former company did on Friday. We received a card in the mail that stated starting this week we will be picked up on Saturday. Not picked up neither was our neighbors. The people on the route were picked up. We are the only two houses at the end of our street so I guess they decided it wasn’t worth their time to come get our trash. On 10/17 our entire street did not get trash pickup as scheduled. I live in a community that we pay trash with rent monthly. I called and received a message the next day. The message said the trash would be picked up in 48hrs. She forgot to add that this does not include weekends. Well l called today 10/21 and was told that it will be picked up by end if business today. They have done this at least three times since April. Then make you wait until the next week. On 10/4 the Rumpke trash guy dropped my personal 96 gallon trash can into their truck. The truck driver yelled out the window and told my husband that they will make it right. I immediately call the 800 number and the agent said they are not responsible for stolen trash cans and only offer to send a new container and have me pay a fee for it. Do not hire this company for trash removal! Yesterday the driver went right past our dumpster and we wee told someone would come back and they never did. Called again today (Friday) and was told they would try to get someone here even though its a non-pickup day. A previous complaint was lodged because the driver dropped a bunch of our garbage on the street and we had to pick it up. Again I was told a supervisor would call ma back -nope. My account is paid three months in advance but I will cancel their service by then.

Disgusting company I cancelled service bc of high cost I have overpayment of 34.00 with them Representative said I would be refunded once payment cleared since it was before payment was due It's been 24 days, no refund Called several times and get different answers Told it's on hold until they retrieve they trashcan Overpayment is a separate issue and is illegal to hold payment pending on them getting their lousy butts out to pick up a can that's been on curb for 24 days.
