On 4/29/21, I called Rumpke at (800) 828-**** and asked them to assist me with a couple of items. The first was to start and stop service from the old residence to the new one. The second was to ask them for a replacement can that their truck/driver damaged while servicing (picking up garbage) my residence. The can that was damaged is a Rumpke can that I purchased from them in 2003. The damaged can was actually a better can than the one they give customers today. Horrible customer service. Quotes for dumpsters are a joke. Liars and thieves
I have reached out to Rumpke with multiple phone call and multiple emails tasking that pick up my Green Recycling Can. Each time I am being told that after my initial call to leave it at the end of the driveway and that it will be picked up within 48 hours. It has been over 10 days and the can is still sitting at the end of the driveway irritating neighbors and myself. Very unethical. I noticed that they were billing us every 2 months at the quarterly rate. 6 times a year instead of 4. When I called and talked with customer service, they told me I was wrong. Next day, they had set up automatic payment from my checking account without my authorizing it.
Rumpke's word is about as valuable as the waste they remove. I have been a Rumpke customer for over 8 years within the same city. However, starting 2020-2021 the service has gone downhill incredibly fast. They are the most expensive waste service in my area, and they offer no recycling. They have missed more times in 2021 so far than they have missed in my entire 8 year journey with them. Just this week they missed my trash on Monday. Rumpke bought out ** ****** Trucking on March 01, 2021. We had ** ****** pick up our trash for over 30 years with no issues. We would put our trash out Monday night and Tuesday morning we'd bring our can/s in. Since Rumpke took over, our service is terrible. We have had to call them multiple times because our trash had not been picked up. They assure us, we "have the same driver just different logo on truck," yet worse service. Is this how you treat your customers? This is the third time that your trash workers have not picked up my trash. I set outside in my car as proof of them not picking up my trash. He did not pick up my trash for three weeks and I’ve called before and they’ve had to come back out before. He picked up the other people trash but not mine yet again. I called Rumpke on 3/15/21 to start service at our new home in Kettering OH. I was told the trash and recycling containers would be delivered in a few days. I have since called back 3 times and was told 2 of the three times I would receive a call back that never came. I was also told each times the containers should have and would be delivered in a timely manner. We have generated a fair amount of trash and recycling after this move and would like to deal with an honest company that does what it says it will do.
Our city switched to Rumpke because it was cheaper and their service reflects that. I've had two problems with them so far. I prefer using my own bins, so when the city said Rumpke would be dropping off bins, I contacted the company and was told I could use my own bins. Then they dropped off the bins any way and it took two months and numerous phone calls and emails to get them to pick them up.
