The first time we came in everything was okay. Not great but okay. The staff wasn't very friendly and the doctor was aloof. The second time we came back we sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes while other folks who had appointments after ours were seen. We showed up 15 minutes early and had been there waiting before the other folks even showed up. They could've at least acknowledged the fact that we had been waiting so long and apologized. As dogs and cats came and went our poor German Shepard had to sit and wait patiently... read more

Business response:

Hi Claire, thank you for your review. We know how important your time is and want to sincerely apologize for your wait at your last visit. While it appeared that other clients who had later appointments were seen ahead of you, those clients were scheduled with a different doctor. Once again, we are sorry if this was not made clear to you and will work on communicating with our clients more clearly. We do our best to offer excellent client service and want to assure you we will review this incident as a team to ensure it doe... read more

I wholeheartedly agree with Erik E's review and wish I could give this place a big FAT ZERO for my own personal horrible experiences with them this past summer. First off, I've waited months so I could calm down and write an honest review. This vet clinic claims to be full-service/hospital, yet they have no way to do onsite labs or heart xrays (ultrasound) which would have saved me thousands of dollars in emergency vet bills had they 1. recognized the signs of a distressed cat in heart failure 2. gave an immediate dia... read more

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Loretta. We know how scary it can be when a beloved pet is sick or in distress, and we apologize you had to go through that. We take your feedback very seriously and have gone and reviewed the medical files for your cat to see where things may have gone wrong. According to our records, the doctor who saw your cat recommended lab-work and abdominal radiographs three times over the course of two days. This recommendation was denied the first two times as you opted to take... read more

Still wish there was a 0-star coice. I have been requested by Sacajawea Healthcare for Pets to re-write my opinion(s) from a previously deleted review: "we kindly ask that you either correct your review to reflect only true statements or remove it all together, as this is not a fair representation of your experience or our hospital." Honest and fair representation of my TRUE opinions based on interactive experiences at SHP: *I did not enjoy doing business with SHP. *I do not think that it was a good financial decision t... read more

Business response:

Hi Erik, we appreciate your thoughts on our hospital, however we would like to clarify some of your statements. You were charged for the remaining balance of your PAW Plan back in December of 2014. We have not filed suit against you at any point. When you signed up for the PAW Plan, you contractually agreed to pay the cost of the plan as a package, not per individual procedure. These plans offer an opportunity to provide your pets with necessary preventative care at a discounted rate, over the course of 12 months. Just beca... read more

No question that the care here is good. However...it's not just about the care and the touchy-feely feelings. I took in 2 small and fairly healthy dogs for an office visit and follow up and ended up having to pay over $1500 in fees and meds....that's ridiculous in my opinion! Saving money for the customer was not on their agenda. I should have shopped around for a much more reasonable price...I'm sure it's out there. I like to support local business and I'm not against making a reasonable profit but this isn't close to... read more

This place maybe ok for a regular check up nut not for emergencies. I took my dog there last week after spending over $600 there is little improvement! The vet seemed nice and caring and spend a good amount of time with us.....but it was Alllllll down hill from here! They did call daily to follow up bc my dog's not improving as quickly as expected. When on the 5th day they called again, I described a change in my dog's personality. You can tell he is miserable. They vet said to bring him in immediately!!! But wait we don't ... read more

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, veterinary care and pet medicine can be costly. Your pet is our number one priority and we provide the highest level of medical treatment for your pet. Sometimes these treatments can be expensive, but we are confident that your pet will be treated with high quality equipment, medicine, and a knowledgeable doctor, so that we can avoid future problems. Not all animals respond to certain treatments the same, and sometimes alternate actions must be taken. Feel free to talk to your ... read more

Fair to my budget ? Money wasn't an option ! When some one is choking should you shop around before you get help ? NO ! Also NO ONE CONTACTED ANOTHER VET ? unless they did this is 30 seconds ? They opened the door said hold on let me ask the vet . Cam back 30 seconds later and I was told it would be the same price else where . That's fine ! I'll take my MONEY AND PETS ELSEWHERE AS SHOULD OTHER PEOPLE . I will make sure to mention your level of service to friends , family and coworkers . I hope your business chokes or flops !... read more

Business response:

Thank you for your comments, Nick. According to our records, our receptionist provided an estimate of costs for our emergency services at the door. We then called another hospital we work with to determine the costs of their emergency services to ensure you received the best care for your pet that was fair to your budget. Your pet is our top priority, and we are always here to provide the highest quality in veterinary medicine and care possible. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your experience with our clin... read more
