Food was great. Service was very slow and the basics were forgotten; water, utensils, etc. it wasn’t busy enough to be forgotten but the food came out before we received water, our ordered drinks and even the utensils even though we asked multiple times. But again… the food was outstanding. Maybe next time we’ll during the week and try out weekday experience.
It’s a vibe. If you want to see & be seen head to Sago. Food is small bites ( lobster bao buns were delish) drinks are yummy. Service was meh.

I really liked everything about Sago. I will definitely come back. I have been extremely disappointed with the quality, quantity, price and presentation at many restaurants lately. This one surprised me in a great way. My only complaint is when the band started it was too loud. We could not hear each other speak at the table. I truly recommend.
Great ambience right when you walk in, nice booths by the open windows and little tucked away intimate corners all with a swanky, tropical feel We tried three items from the menu - the Sungold tomato salad with squash blossom, Japanese sweet potato, chicken and noodle stirfry- everything exceeded our expectations! DJ in the booth on weekends, great Soundsystem!  Overall a really elevated experience in Encinitas
Service was good — food was divine! The jungle like theme accentuates the restaurant atmosphere as a whole.
The ambiance is absolutely stunning, we took the advice of our server and ordered several items to share, but the standouts were the sashimi, which was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had, and then the Australian Wagyu which was equally amazing. Will definitely be coming back soon

Ambiance, large plants, and decor was exceptional. The live band, and low light made everything a very good experience. The food was very well plated and taste amazing, however.. The portions were what you would see on a top chef show. (Minimal).. like less than an appetizer.. lol. So don't come here to get your appetite satiated, because you're going to need about 200 bucks for bite size mini skewers..
