I was having difficulty finding a certain Paul Reed Smith guitar. None of the big box stores carried it, or it was available as a special order item with a lengthy waiting period. However, my sales associate, Jack, at the King of Prussia location found one for me and had it shipped immediately. The people at this store have always worked with me to make it happen!
The Sam Ash folks are always helpful and gracious with their time. I've been going there for years and will continue to go back for my music needs.
I find Sam Ash's sales people to be knowledgeable and honest about the products you are interested in and less likely to assume that they can sell you things they don't want
I asked for a beginner's guitar around $200 and got a fair amount of pushback from the sales bro. I'm sure he's quite right that I'll want to trade up fairly quickly, but that's assuming I even take to guitar playing (I played piano for 17 years, want to try something new). If you guys stock so many guitars under $200, why not happily sell them?

I called to see if you guys had a blue yeti pro in the store Turns out you guys didn't but the salesman told me I could order it over the phone which saved me a trip and he said it will arrive monday or Tuesday this is why you guys are my favorite music store

I wanted a Gretsch 5420T in orange. The other big box store had that model on sale but didn't have it in orange. Sam Ash, King of Prussia, did have it but it was not on sale. James was able to price match the item and I was quite pleased. Two days later, I was at the other big box store to get a Boss TR-2 pedal. They only had the floor model and I was told the box for it was, "Probably long gone."
