From personal experience, I was shocked at just how much is available at this aquarium. This is also my first and only aquarium experience/visit ever. But I of course did not expect sloths, alligators, toucans, reptiles, goats, chickens, rabbits, etc. The sheer amount of space in this building is shocking. You'll find a number of fish tanks as well as open enclosures for hundreds of animals. You'll also find a bouncy castle room, a cafe, an arcade, a gift shop, and an entire outdoor exhibit. I thought it was incredibly acces... read more

Literally don't waste your time or money... idk how a $24 ticket ends up being almost $32 with all these fees they add on. I showed up at 5:30... they close at 8:00... Exhibits that had "viewing times" in exchange for tokens were closed even though it was still well within the time frame to interact with them. But two workers didn't want to be bothered with their selfie sessions. We wanted to see the kangaroo & the viewing time was 6-7 pm... at 6:15 They told us the animals had already been fed and we couldnt see them. Then ... read more

Me and my two teens loved the aquarium. Our favorite part and something we will remember forever, is hand feeding and petting the baby stingrays and skates. They were very sweet animals. We will have to go back to experience all of the interactive bird exhibits... was closed for cleaning while we were there. During the afternoon?! It was the PRIMARY reason I chose the aquarium for my daughter's birthday, but I hope we can go back. Got a discounted price by using my S.A. Pogo Pass..This aquarium has many surprises around ever... read more

The tanks are all too small for the amount of animals in them. The koi tanks are WAY too small. They can barely turn around in it and swim. They have a sea turtle in a tank that is too small. Almost all the tanks are "touch tanks" for you to touch the fish with zero workers there watching over the tanks. It is barely an aquarium and has what seems like more land animals and birds than anything aquatic. This aquarium definitely gives "for profit" vibes and not "conservation" vibes. I would not recommend if you want to see thr... read more

probably one of the saddest aquariums my husband and i have been to. we both left just devastated due to the treatment of animals. for one, the animals were all hiding, sitting there hugging each other, or not moving at all. secondly, there's construction happening and when we walked by there was trash all in the animal exhibit and it was disgusting. the animals seemed so sad just waiting by doors like they wanted to get out. the price of just two of us was kind of ridiculous and then having to pay $50 for just a few tokens ... read more

This is THEE saddest place I've ever been to in my life. Every animal had an air of sadness to them. This aquarium felt like it would be the exact place an animated movie about animals breaking out of containment would be based on. I truly hope for the animals' sake that this embarrassment of an aquarium closes.

Dirty and everything has and extra charge. Not cheap to get in. You have to go through an arcade to get to the other side try bringing kids through an arcade and telling them they can't play because you don't want to spend any more money? The city of San Antonio should be ashamed of this dumpy little money grab.

This place is animal torture and needs to be shut down. The animals are clearly mentally and physically unwell. They have lemurs, groundhogs, cats, and porcupines in small dirty cages on tiled flooring inside an abysmal and dilapidated building. There is no sunlight for these animals and they have no area to seek refuge from the noise of crowds and prodding hands. Anybody can literally walk into their enclosure and harass them under the guise of petting or as they call, "encounters." I know people like to interact with anima... read more

I visited this aquarium with a pretty low expectation and I'm happy to say it exceeded them. The interactive exhibits are a lot of fun and showcase a wide variety of colorful fish. The bird exhibit, with its vibrant, colorful birds, was a highlight. There are also many engaging animals like lemurs, kangaroos, llamas, and my personal favorite, the penguins. Seeing the sea turtle up close was an awesome experience. One of the most exciting parts was the chance to pet stingrays and sharks. Watching the kids shriek with joy was ... read more
