My family was not a fan of this place. Poor animals looked sad & staff wasn't friendly. Won't be returning.

Good time at San Antonio's Aquarium - it was entertaining. Maximum interaction, and its indoors. We spent three hours here. I would probably opt for an annual membership, as you will have access to additional areas at no cost. I didn't know you get access to aquariums in both San Antonio and Austin. The aquarium has a lot of land animals. but the most aquatic spaces were the petting (feeding) areas for the rays, the sharks, and carp. They have small gators, they have large boas. You can feed iguanas, tortoises, ducks, parrot... read more

I am sad to have have given this place my money. The enclosures for the animals lack any type of enrichment. These animals look stressed. The enclosures are made of these tile floors that can't be comfortable for them. And then the fact that you can touch most of these animals does not sit right with me. It would be one thing if workers were at each station monitoring the exhibits. But nope. And every 3 out of 4 employees I saw throughout looked miserable and were on their phones. These animals should be "rescued" from this ... read more

I cannot say enough good about this aquarium! It is super interactive, and gives visitors the chance to encounter animals close up like no other aquarium I have ever visited. We were able to feed the penguins, geese, stingrays, sharks, and more! All the employees are clearly passionate in their love for animals, and all the critters appeared calm, happy, and healthy! Mr. Edward especially is so kind and friendly with guests!

Way overpriced. Animals are kept in very small and outdated cages. There is the saddest single penguin all alone and looking so depressed.

This place is great!! I have been to all kinds of different zoos around the US. This is one of my favorites. You get to touch all kinds of animals. I even hand feed Quil Smith (porcupine), as well as lemurs, ant eater, sloth and more. Bought an annual membership.

I was expecting more. The tanks of fish were not very big. It would be great for young kids that can be easily amused. The were working on a new exhibit while it was crowded with people which was pretty inconvenient. The sting rays were the best part. Be prepared for a lot of loud children screaming and a horrible smell the whole time.

This place was the most unethical "aquarium" I've ever been to. The animal habitats were horribly small. They had penguins in a tiny room right by the door where all the hot air comes in through. They were all grouped in a corner, heads down to the floor where it was coolest. I was looking forward to petting the capybara but you aren't allowed in if you have had contact with a cat in the past 24 hours. I wish I had known this and not wasted my money on the tokens. Most of the habitats don't have adequate space, or any sort o... read more
