The staff were not very friendly at all and the aquarium was VERY dirty!! Was way to too expensive for the amount of money we paid. The animals looked to be sad and some had very small enclosures. Not a great place at all. San Antonio, you need a better aquarium. This wasn't an aquarium at all, more like a glorified petting zoo with some fish. I just still can't get over how rude the employees were. If I could give zero stars, I would.
This is a great place for family. So much to see and do. The staff are very friendly knowledgeable. Let's not forget about the food that is so great. Thank you for a great day out.
I cannot believe it took me this long to finally visit this place. I could definitely spend hours looking at the lemurs, but more fun is the Sting Ray tank. Most of the employees are not very engaging. There was one staff member named, Eva. She was amazing she told me about their sea turtle "Slash" and his story on how he came to be at the aquarium. The aviary was also a lot of fun, the birds will just fly down and eat right out of your hand. There was a moment where I had 3 birds on me. I felt like the "Pigeon Lady" from Ho... read more
This is a very expensive activity, but if you know that going in and are agreeable to the cost, then it's a fantastic once in a lifetime experience type place. In fact, you might have several once in a lifetime experiences! The cost is about $25 per person, and then additional "tokens" for activities at $3 each token. Most activities (feeding, holding, interacting with animals) are 1-6 tokens each person. There are ALOT of fish tanks where you can pay one token ($3) to feed fish. If you are not careful, your kids can go thro... read more
Fun place for the family - we booked a birthday party package a little one and had a great time. The place has grown a lot since we went to it when it first opened, it's a small zoo now.
I absolutely love this place! Definitely recommend to any families, especially with any young ones who love animals. They have great interactive experiences such as feeding and petting animals. They have a game room and multiple concession stands for snacks. They also have a gift shop for memorabilia and a bounce house if the kids still have plenty of energy, it includes tables and chairs for parents to sit back and relax while the children play. I love it here, stayed for hours until baby got sleepy. Definitely earned 5 sta... read more
Total waste of time and money. But Since we had the pogo pass , it was checked off the list. To view any information you have to scan a QR code and need tik tok. Which not everyone has. Everything requires a token or several to feed or touch etc. The offerings are small and I mean tiny. The floors were being actively mopped as people and kids were walking . They put up signs but definitely need a dry swifter type after the mopping . There's a small bounce house inside . And a tiny arcade. We didn't waste any mon... read more
this place sucks its expensive for no reason and the fish and the other animals looked so incredibly sad :-( so did the employees everything was super dingy and gross and it has no big tanks/tunnels or anything like that its just so sad
The San Antonio Aquarium is more of a petting zoo than it is an aquarium. We did have a lot of fun as the petting zoo area provides close encounters with Lemurs, kangaroo, penguins, and a sloth. Our 12 year old daughter loved the experience. They gave a large indoor area and a small outdoor area. We spent almost 3 hours at the aquarium. Highly recommend for children up to 13 years old.
