great food friendly atmosphere excellent service a real winner
I knew about Sandbar but hadn't gone there until yesterday and let me say I feel like I found buried treasure. Seeing the reviews I figured we try it. Let me preface this with the fact we eat out frequently in Manhattan and elsewhere and consider ourselves "foodies" -- the food here was DIVINE. Now I don't say that lightly. From the moment we arrived, the service, from the hostess to the bussers, was wonderful. I had requested a seat in near the fireplace and when we arrived, she knew us by name and walked us right to the table and stated "right near the fire place as you requested". Went with my wife on a Monday night. There were other people there but it was pretty quiet. The food was excellent and the service was great as well. Nice ambiance. We would definitely go back again.
Service was great and food was delicious. We each had one of the day's special entrees which did not disappoint. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back soon.
We've went to Sandbar for a family birthday dinner. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the bucatini with lamb ragu. My husband had the short ribs. My mother-in-law had the pork chop. My brother-in-law had the red snapper. All were prepared and presented thoughtfully and polished off with zeal. Very cozy on a damp cold night. We want to go back to try the bar area. It looks very inviting.
