I had been looking at The Sandbar since late Spring of 2016. The food was everything I dreamed it would be. Incredible! Yes I drram about great food. The atmosphere far surpassed what I expected. The service was unbelievable. If you want to impress your wife, girl friend,partner or even get away with your bff this is the place to be. Cold Spring harbor anytime of the year !!
The atmosphere at Sandbar is so cozy, and comfortable. It's beautifully decorated, and the food is fantastic. If I had to suggest one thing, it would be to have some sort of "bread" to offer to guests who are seated and waiting for their appetizers.
My partner and I went to Sandbar for brunch. The portion size for both meals was huge. Quality was top notch. Charming and sophisticated without being obnoxious. The mimosa was terrific, and the staff was attentive. I look forward to going back.
Simply the best - we've rented the private room for a party, sat at the bar and had dinner in the main dining room - and all have been *! Delicious food, beautiful decor and impeccable service. Will be back soon!

Went for restaurant week on a Friday night. Menu was excellent service exceptional. Server actually gave us insight as to how meal was prepared and where food was purveyed.would definitely recommend.
Had heard excellent reviews of Sandbar and we took advantage of the Restaurant Week special. The reviews are on target. We had an enjoyable meal - prompt service, delicious meals, nice decor. Our meals began with the Long Island clam chowder - not the mixture of New England and Manhattan that we were expecting but instead a delicious light cream soup with a large amount of clams to please. Beautiful decor, personable and attentive waitstaff, delicious food. This is a great special occasion restaurant.
I don't like to give out all 5s but Sandbar earned it tonight. From the friendly greeting at the door they showed that they were on their game right away with service. The servers were very knowledgeable about the food and did nice job representing the restaurant's vision and passion for food.
