The food was outstanding, portion size was well balanced. Service excellent, the server was very knowledgeable, and his recommendations were outstanding. Ambience very pleasant!
Had a wonderful dinner at Sandbar. The service was perfect from the hostess to the server and runners. They were attentive throughout the evening, keeping the appropriate amount of distance. The food was also excellent. We have been there for brunch on three occasions and found the service and food consistent with this experience. We have found a home!
It's great to have another nice choice in beautiful Cold Spring Harbor. Everything was very nice at our visit, and am looking forward to going again.

Celebrated a birthday on a Wednesday evening. Though the dining room was fairly empty, the hostess led us past empty tables to the one in the corner across from the kitchen door. I don't know if this has anything to do with open table but every time I make a reservation on the app I get this type of table. Anyway, the corner was quiet enough. The food was excellent. Delicious as always!
Returned for the watermelon basil martini, chick pea fries & the halibut & they didn't disappoint. We went early this time & although they restaurant was still full, the noise level (or maybe where we were seated this time) was much better. Service was attentive & we weren't rushed which is always a plus on a Sat. night.
Great place to meet up with friends. Food and service are great. Get the chickpea fries as an appetizer. Cold soup was very good. Bar serves up some nice cocktails.
Plates were very good but inconsistent portions. I ordered the rib eye special but kept looking at the table over who had a nicer (and larger) cut. The place is very nicely decorated and comfortable. Tables are not crammed into each other. Servers, bartenders and staff were excellent in a busy environment. Although a little pricey for the portions, the meals are tastefully prepared. Dessert was ok - choc lava cake but lava was dry.
