Moved from SF to South Bay and had to find a new vet for my dogs. Went here due to the reviews and distance to me. Overall, everyone is really friendly. There were a couple of instances where my small dog had anxiety from getting poked and prodded at after getting cut open from surgery so he was understandably going to get defensive with a stranger grabbing him. I have to thank Dr. Lawrence and Santa Clara pet hospital team for giving care to my rabbit in his last minutes. I only had one appointment with her and my rabbit was sick already. I heard great things about Dr. Lawrence and I should have met her before. While I was taking care of my bunny in his last days I had to call many times and the staff answered the phone and conveyed my message to the doctor. I am so, SO thrilled to have found this gem. Moving to Santa Clara from SF was pretty scary, and adopting a 10 year old floof was scarier still - so you can imagine how stoked I was the first time we met Dr. Littlehale.. Still really thankful for Santa Clara Pet Hospital doctors and staff! They are great! Annie had a spine injury in 2016 and recovered 100%. She celebrated her 13th birthday this month. SCPH takes the best care of Annie!

I'll admit I haven't been bringing my cat here long, but I've been very impressed by the two doctors that saw my cat. They were both very professional, caring and helpful, although they have different cat-side manners. I worked with Dr. Jennifer Lawrence, when I was staring a cat integration project - bringing an 8-year old cat into my household with my (then) 13-year old cat, after a good friend gave her a very strong recommendation. I have a corn snake with a rectal prolapse and was thrilled to find a doctor that knew reptiles. He took the snake out of the room because I commented a couple times how it looked more red and uncomfortable today. He said he would take it away so I could be comfortable. She came back all tucked in and stitched up which matched the online research I had done. It was very reasonably priced and everyone was very nice and timely.

Dr. Lawrence did not comprehend my situation when I told her my dog had not consumed food for 4 days. She started and continued with expensive blood test, x-rays and prescription meds ($1100 +) ...waiting on results. The prime directive should have been to get food into my dog. At day six going on day seven with no food ... Dr. Lawrence ordered an additional test and wanted to wait an additional day for results. HORRIBLE VET MONEY HUNGRY !! I have been going to this vet for years and always had a feeling they were not really in it for the animals! I had taken my dog here to get her tooth checked out it was loose and swollen, they gave me an estimate of $3,000 for ONE tooth removal. I decided to get a second opinion and went to another vet where they notified me the tooth was being pushed out by a tumor. How on earth did the first vet not notice the tumor ??
