Saw Dr. Butler at CPMC in SF for a couple skin problems. She is quick, thorough and super-professional. Highly recommend her if you're looking for a dermatologist.

I have seen Dr. Wolfe three times. Each time was thorough and helpful for the issues I had. Earlier I had seen another Derm who was cold and unhelpful, yet he has a big reputation. I like Dr. Wolfe and did not experience anything negative within her office, although I did have a 5 to 10 minute wait, which I consider pretty timely for a doctor. Linda FS

I had an appointment with Dr. Wolf on Thursday morning. I was told to fill out new form now that Dr. Wolf has joined this new practice California Skin Institute, let me tell you the forms go on and on over 9 pages. I filled out the forms, gave the receptionist my insurance card then paid my copay. After sitting around waiting for 45mins. I have to deduct one star as my husband went to see Dr. Wolf as well and he had to wait quite some time until been seen. Once Dr. Wolf saw him, she was professional and courteous, however, pretty much in a rush.

I have been twice now to see Dr Sydor and then Dr Wolf. Both times, I have been looked after, had everything explained to me and am very happy with the results. I went for cosmetic procedures, but I didn't feel that they pushed anything and didn't even mention products. I felt reassured that they offered a follow up free of charge appointment to check that I was happy, and Dr Wolf (who ended up doing the procedures) was lovely. I have been seeing Dr. Wolf and her previous associate for 20 years now. I actually like Dr. Wolf but I can't stand her front office. They are consistently rude and unpleasant. I've never been treated worse by any health professional - they treat you like you are a solicitor that has come to their office. But I've always kept coming because I like Dr. Wolf and she knows my history. Today I showed up without my wallet. I was told that the only way they'd see me was if I paid my co-pay right then. I agree with others - extremely short, moody, snapped at me about something when I was walking on egg shells with her. Left thinking -wow! There must have been some much more important, urgent thing that made my problems look vain and unimportant because she was really cold and even looked upset before I said a word. But no - from everything others have said, she is cold as ice.

So surprised to read the write-ups about Dr. Susan Wolf. I have not had this experience at all. My husband, my 7 year old daugher and I have seen Dr. Wolf - we have always had her time and warm attention, not to mention she has diagnosed and given us spot on medical advise/treatment.

The only reason I went to this person / Dr was this was the onetime practice of the great Dr Epstein. The most prolific, organized, efficient Doctor in the Derm business. He was the best clearly. The measuring tool was bedside manners, the skill to diagnose (rather quickly), documentation to leave with, samples, and most important a solution driven soul! To the point and a bottom liner.
