PA Tara Koch is outstanding! She really took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me with all my problem areas! My skin looks amazing because of her. When you are in the room with her she makes you feel like family but still professional at the same time.

Today was my first visit to this office. Mimi the receptionist was so professional, polite and patient. The office is clean and orderly. I then met with Ilse Strauss. She was recommended to me by a friend. All I can say is she is wonderful!! She addressed all my concerns, answered my questions and I plan on seeing her again in the future. Afterwards Ilse sent me downstairs to the Spa area where I met with Marilyn the Concierge. She set me up with the Visia facial machine where I received a full facial assessment report. I was greatful this place was able to fit me in first thing after the holidays. Being a new patient and all. The staff at the front desk and the medical assistant were all courteous, informative and respectful of privacy. I was seen by Mrs. Koch to discuss some concerns about small cysts in my earlobes and receive treetment. She explained the options, and I was able to get my questions answered. I've had three appointments at Schweiger, with Dr. Fastenberg and his assistant Kim. I have been completely satisfied from start to finish. When I've called to schedule my appointments, the staff have been efficient and pleasant. The front desk support greet you with a genuine smile. At my last appointment, there was a toddler quietly playing while his mother waited for her appointment. I brought my elderly mother in for MOHS surgery on the right side of her face. Dr. Lou performed the procedure and all went well. What really impressed me was the entire staff's concern and caring. The day after the surgery Mom's face swelled up and I got a little worried so I called the office on a Friday night and Dr Lou called me back within an hour. Following my previous review, I received a call from a Schweiger rep in administration. He listened to my concerns and said they would be reviewed. My next visit to the Smithtown office and dealing with the front desk staff was certainly better. The younger staff may need more training, and might take a cue from older staff members, but conditions have improved.

I'm not in the habit of writing reviews however this is different. I've seen and dealt with a lot of medical receptionists and appointment schedulers in my day Most are just as competent and pleasant as they need to be to keep their jobs. I called to schedule my dermatology appointment with this group a couple of weeks ago. A young lady named Emma answered the phone. My wife and I have patients for a long time. We recently movef back to Long Island from California. We were so glad to get back Schweiger Dermatology. They are far superior to the level of service we experienced living in California. Ilse Strauss is fantastic. She is thorough and takes her time. I would highly recommend Schwriger Dermatology. You will not be disappointed.

I've been going to Schweiger Dermatology for about a year now. I see Dr. Fastenberg, and I wouldn't switch him for anyone else! Dr. Fastenberg is the best. He explains everything thoroughly, and answers any questions you have. His personality is great, and he makes my visits entertaining. Dr. Fastenberg demonstrates great professional etiquette, and makes sure his patients are well taken care of. He is basically the Mr. Miyagi of Dermatology. If you go to Schweiger, request Dr. Fastenberg! You won't regret it!
