Avoid!!! I went in wanting to finally come up with a skin care routine recommended to me by a professional so I wouldn't keep buying every product under the sun that a social media star was promoting. I met with Melina a PA there that they say has 20+ years experience. She came up with an easy game plan. Vitamin C in the morning after washing my face and Retin A in the evening, moisturizer and sunscreen accordingly. I stopped into the office and was told that I could not get a price list for procedures unless I booked a $75 consultation appointment. Someone else told me I could get prices by speaking with their patient care coordinator. Whenever I try calling, I have to go through a rigmarole of selection options, only to be automatically put on hold by the phone system, and ultimately sent to voice mail. No one at the front desk picks up the phone.

Do not recommend!!! Wish I could give it negative stars! I visited the clinic in Jan 2019 and paid top dollars $$$$ to get laser hair removal done by an MD at this location but got BURNED. The staff did not want to discuss the burn and instead tried to send me off to a different location with a better machine for my skin type. Why didn't they do that in the first place? This place is very pleasant to go to I admire how the front staff and team are so friendly and caring you always get a big smile from Jennifer & Alicia the front desk staff who runs the show. Thank you Dr. Wilson and Nancy for your help in recovering from a scar that healed very well through the sessions I had here. I would totally come back for something else just to see there beautiful faces. Thank you guys soo much.

Previously, I had gone to another California Skin Institute and I felt the doctor was harried and rushed. While pleasant, she was in and out and I felt rushed. I am not sure if this is the norm but I had to go back 3 separate times to drain a cyst. I did some research and found the Sunnyvale location. The vibe at the Sunnyvale location feels like a doctor's office. I saw Melinia Honjo for cyst, eczema and other skin issues. My husband and I have seen Dr Recht for a few years now regarding various skin issues and yearly body scans. Dr Recht is very thorough, finds the problem immediately and treats it efficiently. He is very patient and funny as well. I was referred by Dr Recht to Dr Lusby for a condition on my finger called Felon. Dr Lusby performed a surgery on my finger to drain the infection. Breathtakingly expensive. Went in for a consult on acne scars with Dr. Wilson. She recommended fraxel, which anyone who knows anything about acne scar revision knows that fraxel is the laziest diagnosis for acne scars. It's overrated and won't do any thing for ice-pick scars or tethered scars. Thankfully she recommended subcision too. Ready for the prices? If I chose subcision on it's own--no fraxel--$1500. Bye. I have been Dr. Recht's patient for over 15 years and he is the best dermatologist. His doctor patient manners are excellent and he pays attention to all my concerns. He has also seen our daughters for acne and my husband for skin check.I highly recommend Dr.Recht's practice. Also Dr. Wilson is very good and the front desk staff has always been knowledgeable and friendly.
