We started taking our two senior Italian Greyhounds to Seaport Animal Hospital about 4 years ago after we first moved to the city. We first started with Dr. Lester then Dr. Udoji and now Dr. Klafin. We have always had good and thorough experiences with the hospital and Doctors and we are there frequently with older dogs! Dr. Klafin has greatly impressed me from the moment our dogs started seeing her. I used to take my dog to another vet in this group when I lived in Battery Park City a few years ago. Since I've moved back to NYC, Seaport is much closer to me so I decided to give it a try. Dr. Wilson is a new vet there and I saw her today. She was very friendly and fantastic with my dog. She took the time to listen to my concerns and explain possible solutions based on what I could afford. Dr. Wilson is my new favorite vet and I will be entrusting her with the care of my dog from here on out.

I love the Seaport Animal Hospital! Dr. Lester has far exceeded my expectations! I have had pets my whole life and Dr. Lester is the most caring, attentive vet I have ever been to. She is thoughtful, knowledgeable and warm. I brought our older cat in to see her last spring. He had been sick for a while and our old vet had not been able to diagnose him. My dog has been cared for by SAH since they had opened. Dr. Kristin Lester is our dog's vet, and she has done everything from his teeth cleaning, arthritis, acupuncture and even calling us on the weekend when he had stent surgery done due to his collapsed trachea. I really like this place. The staff is great and helpful. Dr Lester is vey thorough and kind. However my only BIG gripe is it's super expensive. One typical office visit /checkup is a base price of 90, after vaccines and blood work, it comes out to $300 for a cat. Definitely use their free initial visit checkin on yelp I also had to take my cat for teeth cleaning since she's never had it done before. Base price was 450. After an extraction it came out to 750. I love the seaport animal hospital. they take their time with my two puppies, ages 2 and 3 . everyone is so friendly and helpful, and my dogs love the treats they get whenever we visit. i feel like my puppies are in great hands with this team and am so happy they are in the neighborhood. i wouldn't go anywhere else. plus , this animal hospital is immaculate!
Best vet office ever (and I have had pets my entire life). All the vets are wonderful (especially Dr. Udoji and Dr. Lester) and the staff is great. They were able to diagnose and treat our Smiley girl for a very low level Cushing's Syndrome that was causing a host of health problems that have abated. Most important, Smiley loves it here. This place is so friendly and efficient! They were very knowledgeable and respectful of as an owner, and showed a genuine joy for what they do. I deducted one star because like many other reviewers, I felt some sticker shock upon seeing the bill. I think that this was because the vet didn't specify that that each additional treatment came at a price- being given a heads up would've been much appreciated.

This place is awesome. I'm visiting from out of town with my yorkie who suddenly had issues breathing. My dog is like my child, so needless to say I was completely hysterical. I called and made an appointment and got there as fast as I could. The staff here was amazing! So nice to me, even though I was probably seemed like a nutcase having a nervous breakdown.
