I brought my fifteen-year old dog, Frostie, in on Tuesday (just two days ago). It was a hard decision as me and my family decided it was time to end her suffering. I had done some researching and called multiple animal hospitals for cost of euthanasia and cremation and Seaport Animal Hospital offered the most reasonable pricing, including the elimination of the work of having to separately contact the crematory (since we decided to have the remains returned to us). They estimated the cost and even explained that there was... read more

This is new to the chain of Animal Hospitals (West Village, Battery Park, Tribeca) and I'm very happy to have it so close to me. I just moved into the neighborhood and needed a closer vet for my sick dog. When I say sick I mean genetic problems. I have many pictures of my dog posted, she is adorable, happy and just a joy in everyone's life. It is very rare she would show pain, and I noticed she was in a lot of it. Dr. Burns, Dr. Udoji, and Dr. Lester are just wonderful. All their techs are friendly and love animals. I think... read more

I brought my 3 year old pomeranian, Momo, in for a general check up and a spay procedure. Dr. Burns and his staff were wonderful...kind and gentle with my dog and very professional with me. Momo had an very uneventful procedure and recovery. As an added benefit, the hospital itself is immaculate, with what appears to be the latest state of the art equipment. I will definitely be coming back...

Been taking my cat here for years due to the proximity and cannot say I've ever had one positive visit. To start, I have a cat. Cats historically are territorial and don't like other cats. I had my cat in a carrier here and they have a cat in the vet who roams around and went right up to my cat carrier and hissed in my cats face. She's never had issues at the vet before and from that one experience now loses her mind any time i take her in. They make me give my cat medication before coming in now because of how cautious she ... read more

It is interesting that the entire medical industry, veterinary included, is the only industry where you don't know how much you pay for a service until after you receive it. Receptionist here forgot that not everyone can pay the obscene amounts doctors charge to administer IV on a dehydrated dog. Some empathy can go a long way. Please spare the judgmental tone when someone is asking for an estimate. Quick update - called Bond Vet and received much better service and will be taking her in

Business response:

Too damn high I think they take it vantage of people with animals I don't know if they're doing what you're supposed to be doing but they're just too expensive

Business response:

John, we understand that veterinary care can be costly, which is why we always try to accommodate our clients to the best of our ability. We offer a variety of treatment options so that you may select a less costly alternative, if possible, so please don't hesitate to voice your concerns to your veterinarian during your next visit. We aim to provide you with the information and educational resources to make the most informed decision for your pet. Please let us know if we can answer any of your questions!

My dog was attacked and after searching for an animal hospital near by and double checking on the website, I rushed to the closet one. I came here at 1:30pm and waited outside and called the number on the door because no one was at the desk. A woman answers and asks if I have an appointment and I said no my dogs eye is bleeding we need help. She then says ok and hang up up and I see her at the desk for a solid 10 minutes standing at the computer and didn't even acknowledge me. It was 28° out, literally below freezing. She ... read more

I made An appointment to bring my cat in for a first visit and to get nails clipped. I never got a confirmation for my appointment, and arrived a few minutes late. The reception had no clue what was going on when you call (because you have to wait outside) and the first woman, while looking at me through the glass, said ok just wait out there. Then a man came and took my cat inside. He returned 5 minutes later saying that I was too late for my appointment (30 minutes late) and he could not take my cat and would be charging a... read more

It's no surprise to me that this clinic has an average of three stars. The first time I took my dogs here it was fine but when I brought them in last week the experience I had with a veterinary clinic was nothing like I've ever had. First off I brought in one of my dogs for an allergy shot. I had received an email that she was due for a rabies shot. I walked there with both of my dogs just because they don't like to be alone. When I got there the nurse was asking me tons of basic questions and I answered honestly that my dog... read more
