It's no surprise to me that this clinic has an average of three stars. The first time I took my dogs here it was fine but when I brought them in last week the experience I had with a veterinary clinic was nothing like I've ever had. First off I brought in one of my dogs for an allergy shot. I had received an email that she was due for a rabies shot. I walked there with both of my dogs just because they don't like to be alone. When I got there the nurse was asking me tons of basic questions and I answered honestly that my dog... read more

We've been bringing our pet here since she was a puppy. Today, we had an emergency and was told that the earliest they could see us would be in 3-4 days and recommended us to take our pet to an animal hospital. Is Seaport Animal Hospital not an animal hospital because that name is extremely misleading? Without even asking what the situation was, I was told the reason they were unable to take the emergency today was because they only have one doctor in at the moment. This seems like a management issue and should not be at t... read more

Saw a vet here that was very condescending. Make sure to ask enough questions so you feel comfortable with the tests and medicine they are giving you for your pet. I was sent away with a cold medicine that I later found out online can cause VERY bad side effects for cats. There are better vets out there if you can get into those.

When i got my puppy, this was the only vet that would take a new patient without a 2-3 week wait time. I thought they were fine at first. However, once my puppy started having problems, they were unable to give me much of an answer. I was at the vets office every week getting charged $300 per visit for tests/etc with no relief for my puppy. I feel bad writing such a negative review because the people that work at this office are very nice. However, nice-ness doesn't matter if all they are doing is to milk money out of yo... read more

If there was less than the one star I would give that to them. They were rude unhelpful and blatantly just not professional. They tried to Keep my sick dog hostage because I wanted to go home and pay them by card over the phone since they do not take check. They also don't care to explain the actual issue and leave you in a position, where in my case i had to seek outside advice from a different vet that had a much more accrue diagnosis. They did unwarranted tests and charged me over the rate anywhere else would. Each pers... read more

This place is absolutely terrible and please do not come here. We brought our cat there since he's being lethargic and we noticed some abdomen swelling. After an ultrasound, the doctor came back telling us that he sees that there's a little fluid in the abdomen area but "he hasn't performed many ultrasound on kittens so he's not sure if this is abnormal." The option are to 1) do a full test for $352 although "unless it's something that's really obvious this test won't be able to tell the issue" or 2) perform in house viral... read more

Pricing+Service not transparent: We brought two kittens in for initial examination as we had a coupon for the first-time free visit. But, AFTER we met the vet they told us that the coupon was one use per family so they still charged one pet's visit fee. They should have informed about any potential cost in the beginning!! Also, during the visit the vet said she did not recommend our kittens taking vaccines at that time because it was not long enough after the previous shot. So eventually we were charged the visit fee w/o doi... read more

The vets are nice and I haven't had a bad experience with the care my pet has received, but the operations are horrible. Do not ever expect to be seen on time for your appointment (even if first thing in the morning). You will spend an exorbitant amount of time waiting- which is ironic as they have a policy to charge you if you arrive past your appointment time. They double book the vet during appointment slots so staff has to bounce back and forth between patients. Front desk staff is inefficient when scheduling appointment... read more

The Seaport Vets at 80 Beekman Street is the worst!!!!! ONLY TAKE YOUR PET THERE IF YOU WANT IT TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!! I brought my Cat there for she was constipated and when she did poop it was watery, in addition she was throwing up, not eating enough and she had lost a lot of weight. They said that they had to take X-rays, take blood for a bunch of other test. The X-rays were done in the office and they told me that it shown a kind of mass, if I wanted to I could have my Cat have a Ultra Sound, but the doctor did not show an... read more
