We were so looking forward to our OBX vacation this spring! Unfortunately, we were mislead To believe the pool and hot tub would be functional for our stay. We had discussed heating the pool and we’re told the price and the timeframe to request it. When I called to pay the amount, I was informed the pools would not be open until the end of April. At first i did recommend because while we were there they were so fast to address everything they could in their power. But now that we aren’t there anymore they aren’t holding their end that they told us already. And of course aren’t returning our phone calls. And we were about to book next years vacation but we will be looking else where if hey don’t follow through. Now here’s what i said first..... RecommendedGreat company! There was so problems in our house and they did all they could to fix it. Sadly it’s in the owners hands now. Hopefully they do what’s right. Also i recommend getting new beds the only half way nice bed was one of the King size beds. The other beds were springs and so dated. You couldn’t even move without waking up the baby or the person beside you. The house was not very clean either very disappointed with that also since we payed a large amount of money for the week. We are currently staying in Spotted Duck. The pictures on the hospitality app do not match the furniture in this home. The reservation page shows newer furniture and a recliner, what we experienced is crooked and overly worn/distressed furniture. There are ants everywhere, catapillars through out the pool, a hot tub that fits two people comfortably, hard mattresses for sleeping AND my moms room reeks of animal urine. Rented the week of September 1-8. Not enough parking for 5 cars at our rental, carpets filthy in MB, vertical blinds missing pieces in MB (had to dress in bathroom), blinds missing pieces in another bedroom. Solution to parking situation was offered: we can park our cars at Harris Teeter shopping lot or drive 8 miles up to your rental office and park our car! Really?! Spent $2600 on vacation and we cannot park our cars at the house?! Would not recommend this rental company!!!
Was charged for a night that i wasnt able to stay due to Florance. Was called Monday Sept 10th and was told a mandatory evacuation was in effect for KDH starting Tuesday Sept 11th at 7am and was recommended for me not to come. Was staying for 6 days and didn't even check in. So I am only getting back money for 5 days BUT again was told by one of the representatives there to turn around. We were offered travel insurance, which we opted not to take. However, we were forced to leave due to a MANDATORY evacuation. left early Tuesday morning and were not compensated. Only left because it was mandatory. We have friends who rented through other companies and received a partial refund. On top of refusing to refund any part, asked us to bring all the outdoor furniture in. I don't mind doing my part, but don't feel it was a fair request considering everything. Thanks for blasting my cancellation for 1 whole day. When I cxld over a month ago. Thanks for keeping my money that I worked hard for and Seaside Vacation will NOT give me another week or work with me in anyway. They gave my deposit to the owners before I even stayed there it was supposed to be 8/18 to 8/25 but life happened and we just could not swing it. So they will not give me my money back or transfer my week. How do you run an ethical business? Taking my money? And Having the audacity to sit there and say you gave my ... read more

We understand that it is disappointing the week was not re-rented, but our cancellation policies are thoroughly explained in the lease agreement as well as the cancellation request form which was agreed to twice, when both of those forms were signed. We do offer travel insurance at a very affordable rate for those instances when unforeseen circumstances happen. This was declined twice on the lease agreement.
