Completely disappointed. The list of problems from the moment we arrived is almost laughable except this is supposed to be our family vacation and we are so upset about the neglected home we are in and the lack of response by Seaside that it isn't funny at all. We spent way too much money for this week to be in the position we are in. Very sad.
After a lifetime of OBX vacations and investments, I eagerly advise vacationers and owners to stay away from Seaside. As an owner, the experience has been slightly more painful than passing a kidney stone. Efforts to resolve my issues with owner Gordon Jones have been entirely ignored. OBX is a lovely vacation; pursue your vacation rentals elsewhere.
We had a great vacation, but some of the amenities that were included in our contract were not provided. It was really disappointing! Our original house was double booked, so we selected a different rental, but it didn't have a private pool, a community pool was offered. We were then denied access to the community pool. This was a damper on our vacation because we had little ones who were counting on pool time!! We contacted seaside vacations several times, with no response!
Jouhara terrible. Seaside Vacation terrible. Don't trust pictures or reviews. Homes filthy. Bedding terrible. Supplies and furnishing filthy and worn out.
I am incredibly disappointed with Seaside Vacations. The accommodations did not meet what was promised, and or expected. We had a contract on a rental property (Pirates Paradise) that they advertised as sleeping 18. When arriving at check in the house was not clean or ready for us. My mother even helped the maid with vacuuming and making beds. And surprise the house only sleeps 13 ... huge difference! House is gross.. Still waiting to hear back from someone at seaside vacations.. I want to warn others about toad hall in Corolla since it's a total rip off and don't want other families to be stuck in this run down, dirty house for a week. Great location but looks like the house has had zero maintenance. Let's just say, they invested their money in a photographer and not in the care of this house. Yuck yuck yuck.. Never again!!
