We have dines at Ela's before and were looking forward to coming back. We got a quiet tables for 2 away from the other diners. Had a fabulous swordfish entree with a crisp white chardonnay. Great service, great food. Truly enjoyable.
Good food, great views, live music, and Earl, the owner, is very welcoming. This weekend, we had the fresh drum, from the Outer Banks, and locally caught grouper. Started with Long Island Bluepoint oysters. All were excellent. David was our waiter and was wonderful. Try it, and you won't be disappointed.
My husband and I went here for dinner. It was wonderful. The muscle, fried green tomatoes, sword fish, and the short rib were all amazing. Service was great.
We sat outside with a nice view of the marina. Short ribs were AMAZING! Can’t wait to visit again.
Food was good. Not outstanding. Our server,Luke, was very attentive. We had reservations for 6 p.m. and parking was a real problem at that time. The parking lot is circular and there is a charter boat business next to the restaurant which I’m sure adds to the number of cars. When we left at 8:30 there were some open parking. If you can’t find a spot in the lot, I don’t know where else you can park nearby.
Enjoyed our wedding anniversary dinner. I had the scallops and my husband had the filet. Both were excellent and our waiter was very attentive. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants on the island.
We love eating outside at Ela's. Ordered the lobster nachos which were very good. Both of us had the filet. Was good but a little dry. Had requested bernaise sauce but received Hollandaise. No big deal. I had noticed one of the wait stuff come out of restaurant with the filets a few minutes earlier but once he saw that we were still eating our appetizer, went back in with the filets. We had a lovely view of the marina and Broad Creek. The service started a bit slow, but then improved. The food was excellent I had the diver scallops. My husband had the whole flounder. It was bone in, but prepared in such a way that the fish easily flaked from the bone. We enjoyed our evening very much.
Intimate setting and food and service always fast and very courteous.
