We went for lunch before a cruise out of Shelter Cove. The restaurant is right on the water of the marina. We made a meal from several appetizers: Fish tacos (amazing), lobster sliders(so good), and fried green tomatoes! The view was amazing from nearly every angle. Been here before and it was great. Today however, the food and service were both average at best. Very disappointing and probably won’t be back. Outdoor seating is great however.
It’s a nice place. The food is good, but not enough to merit the $$$ price. Ambiance is very quiet. A bit “stuffy” - I felt very self aware about my kids making any noise.
I called the restaurant to request suggestions on how to make a birthday dinner for my boyfriend extra special. I spoke to Amber. She made some excellent recommendations. There was champagne at the table upon arrival. I ordered flowers from Flowers by Sue (one of Amber's recommendations). They were beautiful. Great outside dining. GREAT Drinks & appetizers! "Special" red snapper NOT good.
The service was amazing, the ambiance was exactly what we expected. The food was served promptly and was delicious!
