Our staple during our week on Hilton head. I did pay attention to the recent OpenTable reviews and agree that the servers could bring it up at night. Other than that I cannot downgrade the restaurant.
I love Ela's. The service is outstanding. You don't feel rushed at all. The view on the patio is just gorgeous. It's a water view overlooking Shelter Cove and on one side looks out to Broad Creek. I love their scallops so much that I rarely order anything else. The crab risotto that it is served with is decadent. The staff aren't teens who are waiting tables part time. It's a professional wait staff who do this for a living and you can tell.

Got the crab cake app, Shrimp and Grits , and Lava cake- all very good. Nice atmosphere and on the water. Wait staff was friendly and food came out timely. Only item I did not like was the Oslo bucolic ravioli (sauce was not tasty) Overall had a very nice dinner
Beautiful setting, friendly hosts and service, nice menu and could have been fine dining. But when served main courses for five people, two arrived lukewarm and one was cold. Three arrived early, one sent back as too cold to eat. Two arrived later, one sent back same reason. With everything else in their favor, how does this happen? And no explanation or apology. This is all priced as fine dining, and we paid in full, but this is not acceptable and they should be embarassed with this performance.

This is my favorite place to take friends and visiting family - it is classy.
My family and I were visiting Hilton Head for the RBC Heritage. We had some very delicious meals but unfortunately this was not one of them. We picked the restaurant for the great reviews and views. The food presentation was ok. As far as flavor went, there was none. All three dishes were very blend.
