Certainly one of the very best on the island. Every time on the island we dine at Ela's.
I was excited to try the chef's swordfish that so many raved about but it is no longer on the menu. I had the steamed lobster over citrus lobster risotto which was perfectly prepared and easy to eat. Claws were shelled and tail was split. Others had the whole flounder and lived it as well. Calamari had wonderful texture but the batter was a bit salty. Very lovely atmosphere. Waitress was very attentive.
We try to make Ela's a stop each time we are on Hilton Head; always a treat! This trip was for Sunday brunch. We were seated immediately at our choice of tables. A lovely view of the marina and channel to the sound. Our server, Vanessa, was pleasant and attentive, a most charming young lady. Amazing food will be back
Ela's Blue Water Grille is set beautifully, waterfront. Food was delicious and service was great. Live music was a nice touch as well. This would be a great spot for warm weather outdoor dining!
Food was good but service was lacking such that it took away from everything. Caprese salad had very small pieces of mozzarella, size of pinky fingernail. I've never seen a caprese salad that had the mozzarella that small ever. However the carpaccio was very good. Yellowfin tuna was good quality but not well paired and hardly any soy wasabi sauce, not nearly enough. Crab cakes were good but heavily garnished that didn't allow the crab cake to stand on its own. Great food & service, worth the price of the meal, but the music was too loud to have a comfortable conversation. Good for a party.
Choices of food were very good, our food was excellent, and the waitress, Katrina/Katherin( originally from Ukraine) was very good---pleasant and informative about the entree choices. The scenery was absolutely spectacular looking over the harbor and boats ,and the marsh/creek area. It was cool & windy outside , but never mind, there were heaters there to keep us very comfortable. This is a place we will definitely visit again when in HH
Lunch, dinner ALWAYS good here. Love the sea food items & the filet with crab was very delicious Sunday. Great cocktails, too. Outside dining is always special but I enjoy the bar & interior seating, too. Great place. I always recommend it. And now that I have been to The Pearl in Bluffton, I am suggesting it to my friends!
