Best place I've been to in Hilton head to date!
We ate out on the deck, overlooking shelter cove harbor, with the yachts and night lighting. Food, service, and wine were all excellent. Wine was reasonably priced. Great place, quiet
Ela's was a pleasant surprise. The food was very good, well prepared and sufficient portions. The staff worked well together and were very attentive. The only very minor issue was the voice noise when filled. This was not a real issue, but noticeable. The filet mignon was outstanding.
We had asked for an outdoor table (it rained) or a scenic indoor one as it was a birthday celebration. We were very pleased to be accommodated at a second floor window table with a great view. Food was, as usual, excellent as was the service. Only small drawback was a very loud table near us in a relatively small space. They too were celebrating and it did not significantly influence a very nice experience. Have never been disappointed there.
Went to have wine and mixed appetizers with a friend. Great wine selection. The appetizers were imaginative and tasted very good. The harbor view is excellent. Service was truly outstanding ... friendly, accommodating and professional. The entrees looked excellent but we stopped with wine, appetizers and desert. I do not doubt that if we had a main course the rating would have been five stars ...
We were seated at an outside table as per request. It's lovely. Temps cooled off as the evening progressed, but a torch / heater helped a lot. I ordered Lobster Ceviche Martini, Beef Carpaccio with arugula and shaved parmesan, and wild mushroom risotto. My spouse ordered the Pear - Gorgonzola - arugula sald with horseradish dressing, and the catch of the day - a pan-fried Grouper steak (is that what you call it?) with vegetables. We were quite disappointed by our recent visit to Ela's. On the good side, the views from our table were very nice. It was also very quiet, but that may have been because there were only 5 tables of 4 there that night. In spite of this the service was extremely slow. Our waiter only rarely came by. We had to wait to order appetizers. There was a 20 minute wait between our appetizers and our entres. The food was also hit and miss. The scallops were done nicely, but were very salty.
